West Ham played them off the park today but fair play to Liverpool. They gave it their best and were ALWAYS gonna win when it went to penalties.

 

Djibril Cisse soon recovered from his 'cramp' as soon as they won though ;)

Yes it was a great Cup Final, they reckon it was the best FA Cup Final since 1953.

 

Personally, I thought it was the best Cup Final since last year's European Cup Final in which Liverpool also came from behind to win on penalties after being level at 3v3 after 90 minutes.

 

Still no doubt in the next few days those two old women Maureen (Jose Mourinho) & Fergie (Alex Ferguson) will dismiss Liverpool's performance, saying that they were lucky - even though West Ham three goals came from an Own Goal, a rare Goalkeeping error & a miss-hit cross.

 

And they will still say that Liverpool are unworthy Cup Winners who playing boring football. :lol:

Well I'm a Man United fan but I admit that Liverpool have been BY FAR the most entertaining team of the tournament ;)

But heartfelt commiserations to West Ham, they played really well....after the first 28 minutes I thought Liverpool were dead-and-buried!! Just what was Jamie Carragher doing?? :huh: It was easier to clear it than hit his own net!!! :blink:

 

Come back kings again....but I really wish they'd just stop putting us through the torture of these sort of games and win it in 90 minutes!!! :rolleyes: :lol:

Shame Liverpool won :( but after West Ham missed three penalties they deserved it. Missing three is just an absolute shambles tbh.

I didn't even want to think of what might have happened to me if West Ham won. I was watching it with some mates, who were supporting West Ham, and when they went 2-0 up, I thought oh c**p. However as soon as Crouch had the disallowed goal I knew Liverpool would come back.

 

Once it went to 2-2 I thought Liverpool would be al over West Ham. However it didn't turn up that way, as West Ham scored an absolute fluke for a goal and when it got to 90 mins I was getting readt for all the stick of my mates.

 

However I went absolute mental when Gerrard scored, and then I knew that Liverpool would win. I got real nerverous though when Reina just managed to tip the ball onto the post and Harewood had a shot, although I fell over laughing when he missed it but he did have cramp though.

 

At the penalty shoot out, as soon as West Ham missed their first penalty I knew Liverpool would win the shoot out and so they did.

 

West Ham were really unlucky though, but they've given people one of the best ever cup finals ever.
