* New album set for release 28th April (UK) 29th April (USA) - according to MTV.com

* 12 tracks instead of 13 will appear on the album - according to MadonnaTribe

* Rumour has it that Madonna just recorded 2 indian/tribal sounding dance tracks after her visit to India last month inspired her! :)

* '4 Minutes to Save the World' officially the first single. Early April release date possible

* 'Give it to Me' is set to be the second single which is said to be a typically classic, dance/pop Madonna tune as well as possibly being the album's main title! - According to MadonnaTribe.

* Madonna has just finished filming the video for the first single with Justin and Timberland in London. The video was directed by some French duo (can't remember their names!) lol According to the press, Madge will play a sexy dominatrix who has a fierce dance off with Justin whilst dominating Timberland (euw!!!) :)

* A new song title was reported by MadonnaTribe "Ring My Bell" which will appear on the new album

* Madonna is expected to go on tour in support of the album this fall or early summer next year! China, India and Australia are on top of her list! (I doubt she'd tour this fall as she's always said she prefers to tour in the summer when her kids are off School!)

.....now bring on April!! :)

[bREAKING NEWS] Rolling Stone got an Exclusive Preview of Madonna New Album!

Category: Music.

Rolling Stone got an exclusive preview of Madonna’s new album today, along with some inside scoop from Nate “Danja” Hills on the production of the record.

First of all there's another confirmation of what Drowned Madonna exclusively revealed several months ago: Madonna new album will be indeed released on April 29. Besides it was Drowned Madonna which exclusively announced on October 6th, 2006 that Madonna would have been back soon into the recording studio for her new album, while others claimed that it was not true and she was just focusing on books and break.

Rolling Stone got an early listen to five tracks: "4 Minutes To Save The World", "Candy Store", "Miles Away", "Give It To Me" and "Heartbeat".

"Heartbeat" is obviously the track Drowned Madonna talked about when we exclusively reported about the album listening party on December 4; it was one of the songs that Madonna played without mentioning the title - check it out. "The dance floor theme returns again on “Heartbeat,” which boasts a thumping hip-hop beat with a sandpaper shuffle and twinkling Eighties-reminiscent synths," reports Rolling Stone. "Madonna opens up her voice more, singing, “Can’t you see when I dance I feel free / Which makes me feel like the only one the light shines on.” The song features a brief rap breakdown that recalls Nelly Furtado’s chanty “Promiscuous” (”See my booty get down,” Madonna speak-sings), but returns to its clubby roots in the end."

According to Rolling Stone "Give It To Me" sounds most like a more urban, edgy continuation of Confessions. It's "excellent" says the magazine. Madonna sings, “When the lights go down and there’s no one left I can go on and on.” It ends after a fast, killer breakdown where she chants “Get stupid” over a xylophone chime as the beat builds into a frenzy and she proclaims, “Give it to me / No one’s gonna stop me now.”

Rolling Stone reports that “Miles Away” is the most lyrical of the five songs and is a wistful tune about a long-distance relationship with a melody that resembles Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveSounds.

Rolling Stone talks also about the video of "4 Minutes To Save The World". "Timbaland makes an appearance, and Madonna and Timberlake play superheroes tackling physical obstacles," says the magazine.

"Fans who worried that Madonna might be losing inspiration as she approaches fifty need not be concerned," reports Rolling Stone. "The new album takes a few steps away from the hyper-polished future disco of Confessions toward a more urban-oriented, thumpy funk.

credit to drowned madonna!

"On the behalf of Drowned Madonna, Eric asked Madonna if she has finally chosen the title for her upcoming album.

"I'm NOT sure yet," replied Madonna.

We remind you that - as we exclusively revealed on December 4 - Madonna wanted to call her album "Give It To Me", which is also a song from the album, but she was still unsure about it."

I'm really excited about this album.

The tracks i'm most excited to hear are Miles Away and Give it to Me. They sound fabulous but i hope Madonna doesn't decide to call it Give it to Me; just doesn't suit the title for a Madonna album if you get me!

I wish she wasnt going down the urban route with this album. She doesnt need to do this and it may alientate her from some of her fans.

Hard Candy :o I don't really like this title tbh.

Though Wikipedia is not really a reliable source. I would still wait til the official announcement.

I'd still rather Licorice or BlackStar but hey I'm okay with the new title, it's definitely better than naming the album GI2M.

A report by EW.com on M's new album & release date appeared on ICON :

Madonna's album title, release date confirmed.

Posted: 26 February 2008

The title of Madonna's forthcoming album will be Hard Candy, EW.com has learned exclusively. The record, her last studio effort for Warner Bros., includes a track called "Candy Store." Madonna chose to stick with the sweet theme because "she loves candy," says her longtime rep Liz Rosenberg. "It's about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed 'I'm gonna kick your ass, but it's going to make you feel good.'" The album, which features Justin Timberlake on multiple tracks and production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Nate "Danja" Hills, will see a U.S. release on April 29. The first single, "Four Minutes," will be out at the end of March.

Some place in Europe it seems will be getting the album a few days earlier than April 29. Germany, Israel & Lithuania will most probably get the album 4 days b4 the US release.
