Hard Candy's chart run on the Billboard 200:

This week it sold 5,758 copies and it's total is now at 617,917 copies. The tour should stabilize sales but the question is where the album will be by then.

#178 in the USA last week with sales hitting 650k

 

#51 in the UK this week with sales hitting 300k (1XP)

 

Almost 3 million copies sold worldwide so far and the 5th best selling album of 2008!!

Hard Candy is certified platinum in Germany (sold more than 200k)

Also certified platinum in Australia and Spain but falls off the united world chart this week :(

Now that Miles Away is released, I think if it had promotion, a physical release, and a video - Hard Candy could be climbing in both UK and USA. :(

Hopefully the upcoming single and planned tv broadcast of the tour will help shift some copies!

US sales this week:

Nice to see it climbed up 30 places!! :)

An improvement in sales this week in the US chart:

I'm surprised to see that its still hanging in there even though there were like 17 new chart entries in the top 200! I really didn't think this album would manage more than 15 weeks in the US but its just hit its 29th week and its great! I reckon though that this album will fall off the top 200 after its 31st week but will eventually sell upto 700k copies. So Hard Candy has surpassed Mariah's weeks in the chart with 25 - E=MC2 Wish Madge had surpassed her 1.3 million sales as well but oh well :) With no radio support and little airplay, 700k aint so bad or maybe it is?

Well it looks like Christmas won't help :(

 

The album is already out from the US top 200 and out also in the UK (couldn't find it in the top 200 albums in the mids either).

Hard Candy is back this week in the Billboard top 200. Now sold definitely more than American Life :cheer:
