Welcome!

Much consideration has gone into this list. Wether you agree with it or not does not matter. It will not only give you the chance to perhaps discover someone new, or share your opinions of an artist I name. It includes many genres, ranging from pop, to Rock, to Experimental, to Latin and so forth..

Alicia Keys

Well starting at number 50 is the wonderful and talented Alicia Keys. Easily one of the best artists to come out of the U.S of our generation, she easily shines over the rest of the R&B female dirge around today. The Diary Of... is an especially amazing album. If you don't like her, you need your head testing, to put it politely.

WaT

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5308/watni8.jpg

WaT are male duo Wents Eiji & Teppei Koike. They are the best of friends both on and off stage. there music could be described as melodic pop/rock. I wouldn't really say that they are groundbreaking, but they are very good at what they do, and they don't have a song I dislike. The fact that they are both ever so attractive probably helps them also. Look out for Koiki-san further ahead in my list..

There is something about them that makes them completely awesome. I've liked them since last year, but really got into them when their debut album 'Take To The Skies' was released. I enjoy how they move between quite melodic singing to screaming, plus the use of synthesizers is very good.

Ami Suzuki

http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/4667/suzkrz3.jpg

The story of Ami Suzuki is probably one of the most saddening of the modern music industry. In 1999 she was top of the world, rivalling Ayumi Hamasaki in terms of popularity, and was selling millions. However, it turned out that her record label [sony] was barely paying her any money, despite over 10 million sales. A court case ensued. Although she won, she was blacklisted by the Japanese entertainment industry, and never recovered. She started a comeback in 2005, but unfortunately has never reached the same heights pre-blacklisting. Ami Suzuki is living proof of how harsh the entertainment industry can be.

I personally have never been a fan of her pre-avex works. However, her debut Avex album 'AROUND THE WORLD' is a wonderful dance/trance album. Although follow up 'CONNETTA' was dirge, follow up singles 'FREE FREE/SUPER MUSIC MAKER' have re-ignited my love for her, her unique voice, and her catchy music.

BOØWY

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5426/bowyml2.jpg

BOØWY is a rock band that reached legendary status in Japan during the 80's. They're style of play varied from punk to pop rock and they had fans of all ages. The 90's band movement was credited to BOØWY as they made being in a band look cool. Musical instrument sales hit an all time high during the 90's and the record companies signed and debuted 80 bands during the 90's in hopes of finding a new BOØWY.

If you have never heard BOØWY, I feel sorry for you. Their music has that timeless, classic feel about it, plus their lead singer was a so called 'King of Cool.' They have done ever so much for the music industry, and generally rock <3

WAGAMAMA JULIET

Ami at 47. :)

She might have made up a little higher if I had a list. But maybe that would be based on sentiment rather than a rigorous evaluation of the music. I continue to hope for the best for Ami. Her voice is so much better now than in the early days with Sony and she continues to be a positive and engaging personality. I recently got hold of the Connetta DVD, the one with live performances from her 25th birthday party. Quiet accoustic versions of some of her recent songs that were really quite impressive.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers

RHCP are a band that i've always admired, both for their musical skills and longevity. Although they may not be as good as they once were, throughout their career they have made some amazing albums, including ''Californication'', my personal favourite. A recent song from them I really enoyed was Snow my personal favourite off their latest album. I always enjoy the quite manic lyrics, which although crazy, feel like they have genuine emotion behind them. I wiuld love to see them live.

Goto Maki

http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/262/makirv9.jpg

Makira Makira! My favourite member of Hello! Project, a very attractive woman, and great music; what is there to dislike? She came into Morning Musume in their golden years, and became one of the most most loved members by fans and wota alike. Her solo career started off well, although sales have declined as the years have gone on.

I can't say her music has changed much through her solo albums, but it is more that she has grown into her sound. When she sings Glass no Pumps she suits it much more than when she was younger singing Ai no Bakayarou. Like the title of her newest album says, she knows how to use sexy, and she's certainly not afraid to show it. Long live Gochin!

Kaila Yu

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/8189/kailawp9.jpg

An import model, actress and singer, Kaila Yu is what is known as a triple threat. This half Chinese/Half American myspace superstar is making waves in the entertainment industry. She released her self titled debut in 2003, she has released various songs and mixtapes to her myspace since, and promises her sophmore album 'Candy Coated Sugar Sex'' will be out soon.

Mabye I am biased because I am quite friendly with her, but I honestly like her music. her voice is nothing special, but I believe she has a certain something about her, that makes you keep coming back for more. Her songs are ridiculously catchy, and she is an amazingly sweet person.

Teppei Koike

http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/7246/teppeisy4.jpg

I do mean to force my opinion on anybody, but I am sure everyone agrees that he is hellah hot xD One half of duo WaT, Teppei Koike has also released numerous solo singles and an album of original material. Like WaT, his music is melodic pop/rock, although more guitar orientated and less ballady imo. His songs are really nice to relax with, and I don't really have a bad word to say about him <3 Let us all appreciate

Brooke Hogan

http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/8995/b1ay9.jpg

Well, I really don't know where to begin. I have followed her career for 3 years, before her tv show, before her record deal, before anything. I really loved her music back then, the sort of pop/rock music, she really suited it, over the years though she began to change her sound to an R&B style, and her debut album Undiscovered followed this. This really disappointed me, despite some of the songs are really good, they just aren't as good as her pre-label songs.

So she would have been higher if she hadn't have sold out, but from what i've heard she's going back to her roots for the next album, so hopefully she can rise up my list again <3

Amy Winehouse

http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/2193/amyeu0.jpg

I personally don't understand how anyone can't like her. She's fiesty, she can handle her drink, and she's got an amazing voice. I prefer her debut album to her latest, but i'm really glad she has got the recognition she deserved, something I couldn't have seen happening in 2005 when I bought Frank

I was introduced to these girls by a friend. their style is Eurobeat, with parapara dancing. I put them so high because when I listen to them, they always bring a smile to my face, and make me feel hyper xD I believe they have disbanded now, which is a shame as they were a lot better than most groups of the same genre [Gyaruru, for example]
