Old Yellow Bricks becomes the longest running #1 of the year as it spends it's fourth week at the top. It is only the second #1 to spend a month at the top following The Killers and Bones last year. It's still short of the total record as Feel Good Inc. spent a total of 6 weeks at the summit. Will it claim the consecutive weeks record or will it finally be overtaken by Oasis who are stuck at #2 with Lord Don't Slow Me Down. At #3 The Wombats crash into the chart with their fabulously bouncy (oh irony!) Let's Dance to Joy Division. Will it beat out the two songs above it and claim the #1 spot.

 

Elsewhere there's only one new entry. The Killers make a lowly appearance with their cover of a Joy Division song from the Control Soundtrack. Timebomb moves up 4 places while Plaster Casts of Everything continues it's slow descent down the chart. Appropriately enough Liars new single sounds a lot like ... Beck. It's been hovering on the fringes of the chart for a few weeks now but it just doesn't have the legs to get through into the top 10.
