Posted October 28, 200717 yr Couldnt see a thread for this, hope it's OK to start one. I love Robin Hood and yesterdays episode was great, Seres 2 is definetly good so far :D
December 30, 200717 yr oh dear... another new topic another rant! this was APPAULING! i just cant discribe the absolute disgust i feel towards this episode. it was utterly appauling on every level. the storyline must have been written by a 5 year old, the credibility of it was absolutely 0. im very dissappointed that this programme (that was barely credible anyway) should have totally, literally, lost the plot. i cant be arsed to list everything that was bad about it, its new years eve tomorrow and i want to see it in!... but practically every scene was wrong, the continuity, believeability, plot, acting, attention to detail.. (3ft sword through marrian and not 1 drop of blood?....pmsl) (staked out in the sun and not i bead of sweat, OR sunburn?).... no! i refuse to list everything... it was simply UTTER c**p.

Compared to the excellent 80s drama "Robin of Sherwood" it's pretty woeful in terms of stories and general historical flavour... Most historians would agree that "Robin of Sherwood" was perhaps the most authentic and historically accurate telling of the legend.. Mike Praed may not have been exactly the best actor in the world, but, the show itself was TV gold, and you cant really fault the casting of Nikolas Grace as the Sheriff, or indeed Ray Winstone as Will Scarlet....
December 30, 200717 yr Oh, Christ, that programme is utter sh!te. And there's people who are criticising Doctor Who?
December 31, 200717 yr Oh, Christ, that programme is utter sh!te. And there's people who are criticising Doctor Who? yep..... as ive watched dr who since its first episode (but not every one...i didnt watch it in the 80's) and someone whos watched several versions of robin hood... both programmes when done right are superb.... i can criticise them both! totally agree with scott, robin of sherwood was the best incarnation of this ficticious character, ray winstone was superbly cast...lol.. once a thug...lol.. the musical score was superb too... clannad at their best imho...
December 31, 200717 yr (3ft sword through marrian and not 1 drop of blood?....pmsl) Not only did it take her 10 years to die, she didn't even look like she was in pain!
December 31, 200717 yr both programmes when done right are superb.... EXACTLY.... All it takes good scripts and good storytelling, neither prog really has these at the moment as far as I'm concerned....
