I would say Morientes is a bad striker in the premiership, however I wouldn't say Cisse is. He has very poor control, and does miss chances, but so does every striker and on Cisse's day he can be very good, but he is just way too in-concistant.

Nistelrooy is not a bad striker but some Liverpool fans would not take him if he was offered on a plate because of the rivalry between the two clubs.

But Cisse very rarely has a day. He always looks off. For someone who's one of the fastest players in the world he doesn't use it to much of advantage. He certainly shouldn't have played as many games as he has done for Liverpool....
Well last seaosn we didn't really have that much in the center forward department. However i'm hoping that its really gonna change this summer with possibly Cisse going for quite a lot as well (Lyon for 12 million according to rumors. Gerard Houllier again), and a possible move for maybe Kuyt or Defoe, or David Villa.

World Cup update - This is off interest regarding the debate in England of taking the injured Rooney & only 4 strikers.

Spain have just selected three strikers in their 23 man squad: Fernando Torres (Atletico Madrid), Raul (Real Madrid), David Villa (Valencia).

Raul is in a race against time to recover from knee ligament damage with Morientes (Liverpool) 26 goals in 43 matches for Spain on the stand-by list.

Not a problem for Spain IMO. They probably play Torres as a lone striker and have Reyes or Luis Garcia playing behind him, although it is a bit odd that there only taking 3 strikers.

Breaking England Squad news from Radio5 Live.

Phil Neville In

Nigel Reo-Coker has pulled out of the squad with injury and Phil Neville has been called up as his replacement.

I think we're still on the 28 man squad before final selection, so no doubt Phil will be sent home again in a few days.........If he is it will be the 3rd time in three World Cups that this has happened...............which would make you wonder why they bothered to call him up?
