They obviously won't get to number one ... but they should get to number 2. Headlines though, will surely be the most poorly performing charity song of all time! It'll hit high this Sunday - probably (undersevedly dislodging Take That) from number 2 ... but will hopefully slip into obscurity the week after that. Maybe this will teach them not to take their fans for granted.

Nah! You watch! There'll be a sudden 'pick up' in sales (even if there actually isn't) and they'll be number 2 on Sunday! Kylie number 3, Take That number 4. But Take That'll be back at number 2 the following Sunday.

 

Besides ... it hasn't actually slid on iTunes - it has remained a stead number 30 for the last 48 hours or so (tee hee). Even if it does chart high though .... everyone knows it is purely because it is CIN ... they could have asked Peter Kay to do the exact same song and it would have charted higher (in fact ... they should have asked Peter Kay to do it - him and his Phoenix Nights pals in Spice Girls frocks).

I actually watched this film a couple of weeks ago. Was wondering why it was so poignant that he has pink fluffy elephant in his hand when he gets shot to bits by the cops! Then I tried to imagine if it would have got the same reaction if he had had a Meccano set in his hands!
