Today's Mirror reveals the LA homes of the Spice Girls as they prepare for their

upcoming tour. Suprisingly Geri Halliwell, who was rumoured to have had a fling

with Robbie Williams at the turn of the millenium, opted for a mansion close to Rob's in LA.

From The Mirror: GERI

Where: Hollywood Hills; RENT: £10,500 a week; BEDROOMS: Five; BATHROOMS: Seven;

NEIGHBOURS: Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart Geri Halliwell, 35, takes the prize for the

most opulent pad, boasting a master bedroom with a ceiling painted in the style of Michelangelo's

Sistine Chapel. Geri moved in last month with year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna.

There is also a cinema and a games room.

What with Paul Mckenna and Clare Staples moving around the corner from Rob

in the near future Rob'll be in Little Britain again.

The most improbable film of 2007?

It looks like Radiohead’s recent pay-what-you-like internet distribution stunt (c’mon, it was!) is set to cross the border into film land, with a similar scheme being used for the release of ‘Sam Jackson’s Secret Diary’ which was nominated for a British Independent Film Award back in 2005

Released on December 28 via the website www.samjacksonmovie.co.uk , the film’s two-year delay was, according to producer/director Guy Rowland, due to the fact that they had problems clearing some of the music on the soundtrack, which now includes Nelly Furtado, Robbie Williams and Radiohead.Though we here at Time Out have yet to see the film, it certainly looks odd. The central mockumentary narrative concerns the disappearance of a sprightly young woman named Sam Jackson in 2003 and the subsequent discovery by her friend Abi that she’s been taking part in a bizarre reality TV experiment.

The (sick?) twist is, the actor who played Sam Jackson (Posy Miller) died in 2002 from leukaemia and the segments which feature her in the film are actually secretly filmed diary entries which she recorded months before her death and were never actually intended for use. Acquiring the thumbs-up from her parents, Rowland decided to refashion the film around the footage and even managed to rope in some of her friends to fill in the remaining roles.

It’s certainly an interesting concept, both for its controversial narrative (is this commemoration or exploitation?) and its method of distribution. We’ll certainly report further when the film is released, with 10% of all download fees will go directly to Leukaemia Research and Missing People.

I wonder what Robbie songs are on the soundtrack? Can't say I fancy the film much....

Queen are the Kings of the Best Music Moment

Vodafone.com via PR

22 November 2007

• Queen performances and Live Aid are Britain’s favourite music moments

• A third of 16-24-year-olds listen to music on their mobile

• Country and folk music’s popularity rises when a relationship ends

Queen in concert, Live Aid, the first dance at a wedding and even Brotherhood of Man winning the Eurovision song contest all have something in common, while country and folk music become more popular with people when they are splitting up.

A survey of over one thousand one hundred people, released today to support Vodafone UK’s wide mobile music offering, has found that the British public has an eclectic mix of favourite music moments, while their mood or activity impacts the music they listen to.

Queen performances and Live Aid are easily the country’s most memorable musical events, but other artists like Oasis, Nirvana, Robbie Williams and Jimi Hendrix also polled highly.

“We know our customers are passionate about music and we give them a choice of how they can get it on a fantastic range of handsets,” says Tim Yates, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone UK. “We have MusicStation that really allows our customers to experiment with and discover music, with unlimited downloads for just £1.99 a week as well as the more traditional 700,000 full track music downloads which can cost as little as 50p each to own, with our Full Track Pack 15 for a £7.50 monthly subscription.”

We’re also a nation of romantics with people loving the music at their wedding while others prefer singing nursery rhymes to their children or hearing their offspring play at school concerts.

"Music is a big part of my life. The first gig I went to was Blondie when I was 16 in September 1978. Nothing had prepared me for the atmosphere and energy at a packed out live gig at Hammersmith Palais. That feeling of excitement has stayed with me ever since and I can say it ignited my passion for music," says Phill Jupitus, Never Mind the Buzzcocks star.

The survey comes at a time when listening to music on mobiles is becoming more popular and Vodafone customers have a wide range of ways in which they can acquire music. Earlier this month, Vodafone UK introduced the MusicStation rental service that allows customers unlimited access to over 1.3 million tracks whenever and wherever they are as well as exclusive handsets suited to music, including the Nokia N95 8GB and the Havana Gold Sony Ericsson W910i. Elsewhere customers buying one of a range of Pay as you talk handsets this Christmas will get 15 tracks from the Vodafone Music Store for free.

Vodafone UK’s survey also revealed that nearly 13% of people access music via their phones, a number that rockets to over 33% amongst 16-24 year olds, with people from Yorkshire, London, the South East and Northern Ireland being the most likely to listen to music this way.

The research also showed that that pop, rock and R&B/soul are the most popular genres for people getting ready for a hot date, with country/folk and hip hop/rap the least, polling only five and four percent of the votes respectively. Splitting up, however, would appear to significantly increase the popularity of country/folk music with over 10% choosing the genre when a relationship comes to an end.

Elsewhere, Vodafone’s survey showed that classical music is the preferred option for people who are working or studying or preparing for a job interview while chart music is top for shopping and traveling.

The survey of 1119 people, carried out by Tickbox.net between November 9 and November 11 2007 also looked at the amount of time people spend listening to music, whether they share music and what drives them to try new music.

One of Robbie's albums is in The Guardians list over 1 000 albums to hear before you die

Robbie Williams

Greatest Hits (2004)

If all of Williams' albums up to 2004 had been condensed into this single disc,

he would have been pronounced a pop genius. Almost nothing is beyond his

abilities: ballads (Angels), orchestral pop (Millennium), skittish dance-rock (Kids),

angsty introspection (No Regrets). Flashes of brilliance like these are the

reason that the next Robbie Williams has a hard act to follow.

True what they have said about Robbie being a hard act to follow......

Watched a program last week about Kenny Everrett & it was mentioned there there would ever be only one Kenny Everrett & that you were very lucky if you happened to be around at the same time to enjoy the experience....I feel its the same way with Robbie...there will ever be only one Robbie Williams ...you will never get a second one...he is unique...

ROBBIE'S PANTO LEGPULL

By Sean Hamilton Showbiz Editor 25/11/2007

Robbie Williams has signed up for panto - to wind up his former Take That partners.

The superstar will appear as a hologram called Stardust in Cinderella in his home town, Stoke On Trent.

Take That sang a song on the sound-track of the movie Stardust.

And a source said: "Robbie called his character Stardust to take the mickey out of them.

"There will be a few pops in there - but it's all meant as a bit of a laugh.

"And we hope Robbie will play the part in person at least once."

His old school pal Jonathan Wilkes stars as Buttons.

Bono mentioned Robbie a bit on Kylie's White Diamond.

Wow what a great write up

They are right, he is a musical genius. There's not one music genre that he can't do and he does them all amazingly great !!!

They're wrong about the next Robbie Williams bit though. There is no next Robbie Williams. Rob is unique, one of a kind.

There will be wannabes but in the end that's all they'll be is wannabes.

He looks like a smug rich kid. Although a man might be less bitchy, saying that Vicky actually liked Rob really I think, it's those 3am bitches who should go and NOW :smoke:

He has already had a dig at Rob in his manifesto

"No excuse for laziness. ROBBIE WILLIAMS will be spurred into moving his chunky backside. "

A journalist from a tabloid calling ANYONE lazy is hilarous when they do fukc all but make up c**p and do absolutelly zero work in researching anything

sorry but he looks like a total t*** to me! <_<

Robbie Williams gets hairy

27/11/2007

Beardy blob Robbie Williams looked like he was in disguise on a trip to the notorious sex and drugs capital of Europe.

In a woolly hat that belonged in The Last of the Summer Wine, an anorak and a grim facial growth, grungey Robbie, 33, tried to blend into the background as he wandered around Amsterdam with a mystery brunette.

They ended up at Barney's Uptown restaurant for breakfast.

An insider told us: "He was with a group of guys and a girl who was all over him. There was a whiff of dope in the air."

However Rob's PR insisted "he didn't smoke any weed".

<_< <_< <_<

http://www.metro.co.uk/fame/article.html?i...mp;in_page_id=7

Looking bloated, dodgy and hairy, this is one image Robbie Williams' fans and record label will hate to see.

The fallen pop singer went incognito as he sneaked off to Europe's sex and drug playground, Amsterdam, to wander the streets with a mystery brunette.

Looking shady in Polaroid sunglasses and a drab beany hat, the 33-year-old's overgrown facial hair showed the scars of his heady lifestyle, sprouting its first grey roots.

WHO DO YOU THINK ROBBIE LOOKS LIKE? TELL US BY LEAVING A READER COMMENT

Insiders say it looked like the 'Angels' singer was trying to blend in the background of the Dutch capital's canals, saying: 'He was with a group of guys and a girl who was all over him. There was a whiff of dope in the air.'

Williams and his female friend were last spotted fuelling their tummies with a breakfast at Barney's Uptown restaurant.

A spokesman for Robbie said he wasn't there smoking weed.

The LA resident has slipped off the musical radar in recent months following a spell in rehab.

:arrr: :arrr: :arrr: :arrr: :arrr: :arrr:

(Looking bloated? He's wearing a friggin Puffa jacket and baggy jeans  )

Honestly, the British tabloids are dispicable. Where the hell do they see that he's fat ?? That's such a completely stupid comment. An anorexic person would look huge in a puffer jacket.
