The right choice was made tonight.

I don't think Beverley should have been bottom two, but her performance really wasn't that great so if anything, being in the bottom two will help her to step her game up for next weeks show.

Girls Aloud will be on the show next week?

Poor Andy, Leon was the worse, his voice is vile, and I hate that sheep noise he does with his voice :puke:

I really liked Hope, Alisha, Same Difference and Rhydian :o

Niki proper killed the poor Kelly Clarkson song, and Beverley was bad too this week :(

My faves in order, from tonights peformances;

1. Hope

2. Rhydian

3. Alisha

4. SD

5. Beverley

6. Andy

7. Niki

8. Leon

I used to think they wern't but it has happened 2 years in a row now. That is more than happenstance...

It's not really, There just getting rid of the deadwood before the show really begins.

Anyway, That company checked all the ITV things after the shennagins with the late night shows, and they come out clean.

I think tonight, Hope really pulled it off and it was the best performance of the night and their best

Rhyddian was the best performance of the night. He made an average song sound quite brilliant. Hope almost slaughtered a brilliant song. My opinion only so don't get mad at me!

Norma

I agree with you Kathy, Hope ruined Amy Winehouse's song.

I didn't even recognise the bloody thing until about a minute and a half into it. I've got an awful feeling they're going to go the distance and be in the last two though. But the British public should hopefully (as they did last year) do the right thing and go with Rhyddian.

Thank GOD Andy went. Soooooooo boring.

Not really surprised Beverley was bottom two. I don't think the song was that good for her and all through her performance I was thinking about how much better Maria Lawson did it in series two. Very forgettable really. Plus that stupid sob story during her videotape was just ridiculous. She just randomly started crying and talking about how she can't bring her mother back from the grave or something?!

My favourites were Rhydian and Alisha this week.

This year is so random really, one week an act can look like a favourite, the next week they are in the bottom two. It's happened to Hope, Beverley and to a certain extent, Daniel. I'm just glad that Andy went, I've been waiting for the public to put him or Leon in the bottom two for weeks.

I really don't want Rhydian to win, I feel that whatever happens he will get an album deal anyway. In a way I don't want him to have an album of new material, part of what I like about Rhydian is that he can change an average song into something more interesting. An album of new material wouldn't go down as well with me I think. So strangely, he one X Factor contestant that I wouldn't mind seeing an album of cover versions from- which is why I don't think he needs to win, a winner should be someone who I would like to see new material from.

I didn't like Beverley's song tonight, even she couldn't make it bearable. Hope completely ruined a perfectly good song; as did Leon, but the song wasn't so great to start with. Niki was forgettable.

This week I liked Alisha and I didn't mind Same Difference or Rhydian. I just can't see Alisha winning as she wasn't popular the first two weeks- has an X Factor winner ever been in the bottom two?

I'd rather see Same Difference win over Rhydian but I can almost predict their career. Compulsory Number 1 hit and the other singles will do as well as Samanda, High School Musical and Aly and AJ did- relative flops, but quite good pop songs.

So is there anyone in this competition with longevity? I don't think so.

Shame about Andy going

Didnt see it - will have to watch the repeat of the results bit 2morrow

Don't know why but i can't believe Beverley, she seems so fake to me. And i was hating Rhydian too, but this week i actually liked him

Hope murdered Amy's song, ugh, what as that?!

My favourites this week were Same Difference, Rydhian and Leon (i'm the only one who really likes him! :P )

Wow Leon was amazing last night again

He definetely has to win...

Andy and Nikki were awful :(

Still have to watch the other performances :)

Betfair.com XF4 Outright winner:

Latest Odds

Rhydian Roberts 5/8 on favourite

Niki Evans 7/1

Hope 15/2

Leon Jackson 15/1

Beverley Trottman 23/1

Same Difference 23/1

Alisha Bennett 43/1

Guess who put £5 on Rhydian winning XF4 at odds of 50/1 before the Final stages started? B)

SD seem to have unfair odds there, given they're one of only four acts never to have been bottom 2. They've more of a chance than Hope anyway; their odds are ridiculously inflated.

Anyway; last night

Niki

Boring song to begin with, which didn't help. Niki's got a fine voice, but she does seem to have timing issues. 6/10

Same Difference

I really don't want to like them, but the whole thing is so ridiculously camp and full of energy, you can't help but like them. They're the only ones who really look like they genuinely enjoy being on stage. A completely bonkers performance, but entertaining. 10/10[/b]

Andy

The right decision was made. He's not had one good week yet, and a rockier ballad was really not the right choice. He struggles to make his voice heard at the best of times, let alone with guitars and pyro effects going. His timing was out and the first few lines of the song were out of tune aswell. 3/10

Beverley

Her being in the bottom 2 was down to Louis. What a stupid song choice, she did the best she could with it, but the song really restricted her diva voice. She either needs something loud and proud, or something VERY gentle and tender. Leave the MOR to Leon. 6/10

Hope

Phoebe is really the only one who can cope with singing on her own, the others have weak individual voices, although their harmonies are fine. Better than last week. 5/10

Alisha

The song worked in that Alisha has a similar voice to Corinne Bailey Rae, a kind of delicate little girl voice. On the other hand it was also quite an undistinctive track compared to the others, it didn't really stand out, and I wonder if she is surviving because of people voting for Sharon rather than her? 6/10

Leon

Fair play he started out at a big disadvantage, but I just can't work out who is voting for him. He's Ray Quinn Mark II. 4/10

Rhydian

Vocally, yet again, the stand out performance, but it is kind of hard to muck You Raise Me Up anyway, even the Conways managed it two years ago. 10/10

Louis was a complete c**k yet again, you could see Simon was really wanting to p*** him out, if Andy hadn't been so woeful Beverley would have been gone without a second's hesitation. Louis is his own worst enemy.

Hit the spot, I really thought that was her weakest performance could have been bottom 2 again, it wouldn't surprise me if she was bottom 3, as Dermot read out the results in no particular order, and got me thinking that people were voting for Sharon.

I'm so happy Andy went last night. I've never like him.

I'm just really not feeling anybody at the moment :( I just cant see myself buying an Album by any of the remaining acts.

How many are there gonna be in the X Factor final this year? If its 3, then the 3 acts i want in the final are:

Same Difference

Rhydian

Hope

The rest are just too rubbish for words, or once you see past the sob stories - which will happen once the show is over - wouldn't be able to have long-running careers.

I can see Hope performing something like Hot Stuff next week.
