81.... favourite shirts (boy meets girl) #4

82.... love plus one #3

82.... fantastic day # 9

82.... nobodies fool #9

83.... prime time #46

'favourite shirts' was pretty good, captured the contemporary style of pop at the time. 'love plus one', and 'fantastic day' were pretty much nice pop, nothing special imho. 'nobodies fool' imho is a lost gem! a great 60's - ish style track, my fav of theirs. dunno 'prime time'.... was it a cover of the tubes '79 hit?

I quite liked their stuff, c**p videos mind you  ,short lived career. Nick Heyward went solo I remember, he released a song in mid 90's I liked "The world" a good pop song.

Yeah, "Nobody's Fool" is my favourite too. Sadly not many people seem to remember it now though.

"Prime Time" was their first single after Nick Heyward left, with Mark Fox on vocals. No, it's not the Tubes song.

I liked - and had - their first three singles, all on 12". Disposable pop to a certain extent, but they were bright and breezy with a good sound. Love Plus One is still a good song, though in hindsight I prefer the 7" version rather than the 12" version I had, which went on a bit too much.

' Where do we go from here?? is it down to the lake?? I fear...'

aaaaaaaaah, yes, the joys of early 80's pop.....

:o :o :o

Is the first group I saw live - at Salford Uni before they were big

Saw them again at the Manchester Apollo when they were famous :kink:

Have always had a thing for Aran jumpers ;)
