Posted November 11, 200717 yr Does anybody remember/like this band who were fairly successful in the 90s, with seven top 20 singles and two top 10 albums? I've began to really like them recently, it's a shame they broke up when they did. Well worth checking out if you haven't heard them before, their lead singer Skin is quite awesome and 'Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)' is a brilliant song. Here are some of my favourites of theirs; Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good): lnv47orMiUs All I Want: HsAxYzMQX5Y Weak: QL_5LF9Ph9U Charity: ZOC-s6OBLdw Brazen (Weep): Gm3z3i_xfaM Twisted (Everyday Hurts): 5AWEVv0Q27w Secretly (the video itself is worth watching!): 7M8UxZDk56o Yes It's Fucking Political (album track, so no official video, song starts about one minute in): xcHPZ8a5aaI
November 11, 200717 yr I remember when they released 'Little Baby Swastika' and Jonathon King wanted to put them in for Eurovision. Never a big fan though.
November 12, 200717 yr so '90s!! they did some good and memorable singles Skin was a lot better with the band, and the bassist was good.
November 12, 200717 yr This band, along with Super Furry Animals, had seven top 20 singles without hitting the top 10, while the Levellers had eight.
November 12, 200717 yr I knew it would be you who started this Ayls :o I love this band a lot more now tbh! Only knew a few of their hits before - definately deserved more success Hedonism and Brazen Weep <33333
November 13, 200717 yr Skunk Anansie were awesome. I love this band. They made 3 absolutely rockin' albums, each sufficiently different to the rest. I've even been lucky enough to have a drink with the guitarist - Ace, at some gig night in Brighton. He was a lovely bloke. 'Intellectualise My Blackness' has to be one of my favourites, though it's hard to say really, as they've got songs for lots of different moods.
November 14, 200717 yr Author Yeah, I really love 'Intellectualise My Blackness', it's so powerful. Of Skin's solo stuff, 'Faithfulness' is utterly amazing.
November 14, 200717 yr I had heard of them before, but never listened to them. I absolutely love Hendoism. :o
November 14, 200717 yr I love them   It's a shame they broke up but still I managed to get Skin's two solo albums and I can say she's done an excellent work
November 20, 200717 yr I was a big fan of Skunk Anansie. I bought all 3 of their albums when they first came out. I also bought most of their singles. Too many good songs for me to pick a fave. Unfortunately i couldn't get into the solo albums Skin did. I did try but they just didn't do it for me. Skin was much better in the band.
November 20, 200717 yr Definetly one of the best bands that has ever existed, they had a few top 10's in Italy, and returned to the Portugese top 10 twice with their "Post Orgasmic Chill" album.
