November 11, 200718 yr Complete Top 75 With number of weeks on chart and peak positions to all songs :D
November 11, 200718 yr I think their version is awful, always hated it. This version vastly surprasses it IMO. *nods* I find the original "Valerie" to be awfully boring, I think it's interesting to see the divide of opinions on this song. I suppose it's because the original is more of a Rock songs and the Mark Ronson/Amy Winehouse version is more hmm...a mixture really I don't see it as Pop.

But what exactly does Mark Ronson do on the Winehouse version? I mean ... it seems like she does all the hard work and he gets half the credit. I know he's a producer and all ... but they never credited, for example, Help ... by The Beatles and George Martin. I don't get it! Norma
November 11, 200718 yr I really can now see Leona (deservedly) hang on to the UK #1 spot until the X-Factor winner grabs the Xmas #1. Still Simon Cowell says her album "Spirit" is brilliant and there are much better songs on the album. Funny how these reviews suggest otherwise: Guardian Review 2 Stars The Observer on Sunday Review Negative The Times Review 2 Stars BBC Music Review Negative

Well he's hardly going to say its cr*p is he? :) :) Despite some negative reviews as to the content of the album they all seem to concur that she has a very good voice. Norma
November 11, 200718 yr Most reviews are just annoyed that the album is aimed at the US and contains no British style cheesy pop music.
