Lily Allen thinks Robbie is "past it"

DigitalSpy: Monday, July 31 2006, 11:22 BST - by Daniel Kilkelly

Lily Allen turned down a duet with Robbie Williams because of his age.

The Smile singer was approached to record a song with the star for his new electro album, but she decided that she didn't want to ruin her reputation.

"It could ruin my street cred," Lily is quoted by the Daily Star as saying. "He's cute, but past it."

Allen eventually decided to provide some backing vocals for the album.

Yet MORE publicity seeking.

And what "street cred"? Robbie Williams has more talent in one of his pubic hairs than Lily Allen has in her entire body.

I find it bloody hilarious that she acts like she's from da ghetto with all her street talk. She's as midle class as they come. She went to school with one of the Kooks for christ's sake.

She seems to think because she wears trainers with a dress and loads of sovereign rings that makes her some sort of hard nut. She just looks lame. -_-

She's absolutely spot on though. She slagged him off on Transmission and I was like "IT'S SO TRUE!" Geldof is a t*** - Lily I love you :D

Even the crazy frog has had more success than her
I wish she wasn't this stupid yanno .. I really like her album :( but her attitude just SUCKS!

Considering that Jobbie Williams' latest stuff is an utter and total abortion, she's got a point when she says he's past it...

And as for Geldof, well, I'm afraid to say she's got a point about him as well. "Live 8" was as much about the stroking of ludicrous Pop Stars' egos and selling records as it was about actually doing something to help Africa (also the fact that barely a single African, or even black, artist was even featured in Live 8 was something I personally found particularly detestable)... And to top it all, he teamed up with the Tories as well for some PR stunt. W/anker.... <_<

actually he explained why he did that.... he said that he would work with anybody to get the job done, regardless of their political situation. i think thats spot on, why be hung up on some people just because they are tory? it doesnt condone tory policies but shows that he is acting apoliticaly, which if more people did that then more would get done.

Medias and people in the UK are too focused on what she says IMO... I'm in France so I haven't heard of her naughtiness, I just know I absolutely love her album and I don't wanna know about her private life or the things she's supposed to say in newspapers.

Music is enough to judge someone, I don't think we need to comment such things....

Well, Crazy Frog has had more succes than a lot of brillant and talented acts... so I don't see any point in your comment.

 WHAT street-cred?

Learn to sing, and deflate your f**king huge ego - you've had a number one single, big whoop <_<

And stop slagging off people with more talent in one of their fingernails than you'll ever have in your life

Ugly biatch!

 yeah right

What reputation? YOU'VE BEEN AROUND FOR 5 MINUTES  she's so street with her family struggling to pay for her SCHOOL FEES :(

"He's so self-important and takes himself far too seriously" say that to yourself love, you're not THAT good you know ^_^

I dont even know who she is! But does this b**ch ever shut up?

Oh come on Rob! The Tories are gonna save the world; they're really gonna help Africa are they?? You dont believe that sh!t any more than I do, because they did a sweet fukk-all in the 80s when they were in Govt, which is why Band Aid had to happen in the first place; and I have no reason to believe that Tory-Boy Cameron is gonna do any fukkin different. Geldof allowed himself to be used by Cameron in a way he NEVER would've allowed himself to be used by Thatcher. Cameron is a Spin-meister and Geldof was naive and stupid enough to allow himself to be used...

I stand by what I said - he is a w/anker, Lily is spot on....

actually thought the Peaches Geldof anti-bono story was better. lily is so totally yawnsum now

I think Lily is ok, so what if shes opinated?

She is opinionated to be sure, but let's face it, everyone on this board is opinionated as well and we aint exactly shy about it, so why just target her for talking sh!t....?

This is basically my opinion of Lily Allen - she is a loudmouth brat who pretends to be 'street-cred' when in fact she's just some posh middle-class bird who's had every advantage in life, I dont find her music to be particularly great either to be honest.. BUT, in saying that, she does happen to say some things that I agree with, so I aint gonna be a hypocrite and say she's simply talking bollocks all the time. Obviously, the things she says would be a bit better coming from someone who does have a bit more musical and artistic credibility, but essentially, she's right about a lot of things she says...

of course the tories arnt gonna save africa <_<, that aint wot geldof ever though, he used them as much as they used him, but if it does some good then i cant see the problem.... and theres no comparison between tories in the 80's and now...
