Maybe Hope will be good at miming and the judges recognise this. :unsure: After all, that's all that's required of a pop act these days isn't it? Lip sync and look pretty? :P

 

 

But i don't think any of them are that pretty, maybe the lead singer is attractive but the others aren't.

Hmm, I kinda agree with why Sharon sent home Beverley. It should be down to the public vote all the time IMO. But seriously, what are the public thinking?! Anyone with ears can see that Beverley is a better singer than Hope, surely? The public really got it WRONG I think.

Simon Cowell dosn't need phone lines to be fooled, he owns the show and 'owns' the producers really.

He & Louis obviously feels that Hope have raised their profile enough for when he signs them after the show to his Record Label. (As some of you have rightfully pointed out, you don't need to be a great singer to be a pop star what with all the miming to backing tapes (coughs: Westlife, Spice Girls, Britney...) Whilst as Nadine has been recording again in LA, Cheryl has given a non-commital interview on GA's future; the Spice Girls comeback is only temporary, etc........

 

Mind you as the theme is the Best Of British next week and if Same Difference get given Agadoo by Black Lace then expect the conspiracy theorists to continue.... :lol:

I don't think the public did get it wrong. I'm sure if an independent invigilator went in and counted the votes ... Hope would be out. And don't anybody say 'but they get fined, etc, etc' if it makes controversial viewing it is worth the odd fine here and there.

 

Bev won tonight. Hope were sh*te. But unfortunately ... we'll have to wait until the very end to realise just how sh*te they are.

Of course it is not "fixed" but X-Factor is manipulated big time by Simon Cowell:

 

The main judge is Simon Cowell; Simon Cowell hires & fires the judges, therefore he has control over them and indirectly what song choices their acts sing; The company behind X-Factor is owned by Simon Cowell; Simon Cowell has selected the song the winning act will sing; The winning act will sign to Simon Cowell's label.......

Also, these people saying Hope have shown how good they were when they sung BTB, the only reason it was alright was because its an AMAZING song! They could of gotten any 5 girls with decent voice to do it and it would of been decent, but only because of the song! -_-

Adam I think the only reason we gave Rhydian 11, 12, 15 out of 10 is to try and emphasise how much better (we feel) Rhydian is than the rest of the competition. And please don't say he is Ray Quinn Mk 2 - Rhydian has a brilliant voice. And I don't get what others are saying about buying albums with voices like this, i.e. slightly classical / show tunes. Russell Watson sells quite well, and Katherine Jenkins is doing quite nicely. I'd rather buy Rhydian stuff than anything by Niki (who I liked at the audition stage) now she comes across as another cruise-ship songstress - a-la Jane MacDonald.

 

If Rhydian does not win this contest. It is fixed.

I said quite clearly that Rhydian is nothing like Ray vocally, but in terms of the way I expect him to be promoted, he could be any one of Ray, Andy Abraham, Journey South, they won't market him right so for me he will be a pointless winner. As for the others you mention, they have made it off their own backs and won't have the reality tv tag to sting them a year down the line. If Rhydian wins and can come back with something special and different like Leona has done, I will take it back because I agree he is a spectacular vocalist.

 

As for the result, it's completely ridiculous. Second time around, Beverley was sensational, second time around, Hope may as well have played the tape of the first time. Fair play if Beverley was the least votes, based on the first performance I'm not too surprised but why does Sharon play the 'deadlock is fair card now?'. It would have been used much better when the two acts in the bottom two were of a closer standard - for example Hope vs FutureProof who both showed potential at the time.

My vote would be for Rhydian to win this, he as an amazing voice and i would pay to go to watch him sing anywhere.

I don't agree with this, though. There's something fishy, ie it wouldn't surprise me if Simon had had words with Sharon but there's no way they would be as blatant as that, people would lose ALL faith in the show and it would become a joke.

What will happen now, each category will lose an act, so the last three acts in the final will be Rydian, Niki, and Hope, so one or another Leon or SD will go home next week, and the other act the following week.

I dont think you understand - they cannot fool the public or fix votes - its against offcoms regulations - and unless you havent been on this planet this year you will know the likes of Blue Peter and Ant and Decs saturday night takeaway have been in the news for fixing and fooling the public and have been fined MASSIVELY - and so no show will even dare fix things now.
