I'm told the band's drummer Matt Helders is getting close to rock chick Kelly Osbourne. Chicago star Kelly, who has recently slimmed down to a size 10, wowed Matt with her toned figure at a charity party in London's Covent Garden on Wednesday. The Arctics frontman gatecrashed Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri's 40th birthday do with pals - and drank the free bar dry. Sharleen then asked the 21-year-old for an autograph but he didn't know who she was. (They are only multi-platinum selling Scots rockers who have been around since 1986, Alex!) An insider at the swanky Bungalow 8 party in London told us: "Poor Sharleen looked absolutely mortified. "She had plucked up the courage to go over to him for the autograph. She told him she was the lead singer in a band and was a massive fan of the Monkeys. "She said she had been making music since before he was born." But Alex stood there looking blank... Says our mole: "Alex just shrugged and Sharleen kept saying how much of a massive fan she was. "She said it was her birthday party and it would make her night if he could do it for her." So in the end, Alex reluctantly signed the autograph for her. But he was kicking himself afterwards as his pals revelled in telling him it was actually Sharleen, the lead singer of Texas, who had approached him. D'oh!
