Girls Aloud have apparently decided to increase their security after being subjected to unwanted attention by a lesbian stalker.

Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have hired five former SAS guards to give each of them them personal protection after a naked woman slipped backstage to their dressing room, reports The Daily Star.

After laughing off the event following their performance at London's G-A-Y club, the girls decided to take action.

"Originally they were a bit shocked when they found her there, but laughed it off," an insider told the paper.

"It's not every day you find a naked lady in your dressing room. But since then they've been thinking about the serious nature of the situation.

"It's a little bit unnerving. This woman's been following them everywhere.

"So they decided to get a guard each so that no one's ever put at risk."
