A Bhangran spokesperson has been quoted as saying, "We are very impressed with how well Fragma have done for us. We were beginning to think us and Simmondly would cancel each other out! Thankfully though, it would appear they just cancelled themselves out and left us to climb the leaderboard. For BJSC VII expect something slightly different from Bhangra. It could work, it could bomb. We'll just have to wait and see." Bhangra is expected to unveil the next artist and song for Quotosibb in the coming week.

Bhangra's representative for BJSC VII has been chosen. Following a rigorous internal selection, Lee Ann Womack will perform I Hope You Dance in Quotosibb. On being chosen, Lee Ann commented, "it's a real honour and a priviledge to be representing Bhangra in the BuzzJack Song Contest, let's hope we do well this year!" Bhangran bookmakers Ladbhang have put Womack at 12/1 to bring the contest back to Bhangra, however this has not taken into account any other competition she will have.

BREAKING NEWS

Womack - "I quit"

In a sensational twist in the lead-up to BJSC VII, the initial Bhangran entrant, Lee Ann Womack, has announced she is standing down from representing Bhangra in the contest. Speaking to Sir Trevor McBhangald, she said, "the country's heart isn't with me. I can tell that by the little press coverage I've been getting. This song means a lot to me, and I don't want to waste it on something that I know I'm going to get nothing out of. It's nothing personal to the people of Bhangra, but I don't feel I can go ahead."

In another major development, a mere one hour and twenty three minutes after Womack's outburst, a Bhangran official appeared live on Bhangran television annoncing that Dima Bilan would be representing the country, with his 2006 song Lady Flame. The Russian sensation is said to be "ecstatic" to be representing the country, and promises to deliver the "performance of [his] life" in Quotosibb.

Haha, well he'll probably be available in the eighth one in July. :o
:smoke: You were lucky Natasha Bedingfield ageed upon representing Eledan in Quotosibb instead of Alsou or Dima Bilan rumoured to participate in the NF that didn't happen ;)

Dima Bhangs Rachel?

Rachel Stevens, love interest of Bhangrese entrant Dima Bilan and also Kopecek entrant for the 7th BuzzJack Song Contest, set the crowds alight last night with an energetic onstage duet with Dima Bilan, churning out a medley of their greatest hits before culminating in a mix of Lady Flame and I Said Never Again, which ended abruptly as Dima took off his shirt and ran offstage. Despite the early ending, the concert received rave reviews and was praised by Miskanthan media for 'ending any doubt as to the exact nature of their relationship', with the phrase 'exchanging 12s' now indelibly marked into the minds of Kopecek citizens who have been eagerly following the hotly speculated-upon relationship. Rachel is due to perform at Mdice and Farahtyn today, although there has been no confirmation as to whether Dima will be present at these as well.

Ok, it won't be 'Hurt' now, and Bhangra's replacement song will appear in due course.
I was about to say David, horridly well known song for you :( BJSC8 really is turning into a contest of songs we all already know!

I wouldn't say it's that well known tbh, it hardly raced to #1 in the charts. In fact did it even get a release?
yeah it scraped into the UK top 40, but it's not as well known as, say Fragma or even I Said Never Again (But Here We Are) by Rachel Stevens :kink:

Yes that's a good point Rich. YOU HYPROCRITE TYRON.

It's still fairly well-known :P

And that's what the voters chose Rich  It was easily the least well-known (Funkydory doesn't count :smoke:) and most deserving of her singles :(

 never leave it to the general public to decide :heehee:

had 'the voters' forced me to send Rachel Stevens at gunpoint, I would have sent either Crazy Boys or Nothing Good About This Goodbye

The voters only accounted for half of your points anyway Tyron, you could've easily rigged it with the jury votes. :smoke:
