I've got about five different songs in my mind... but I'm not sure who to send yet!

Speaking to Sir Trevor McBhangald in an exclusive interview on tonight's News at Ten, Bhangrese representative Velvet, originating from Sweden said she was "delighted to be representing such a successful country [in the BJSC]" and hopes that she can bring Bhangra back amongst the coveted 'big five' countries, which the country vacated following Kate Bush's dismal performance in the eighth running of the extravaganza. Velvet will be performing the 2007 version of Fix Me in Nonsuch this August.

Bhangrese representative Velvet has spoke of her delight at qualifying for the final of August's BJSC. In an exclusive interview with Julie Etchingbhang on tonight's Bhang News at Ten she said she was "thrilled that [she'd] been given the chance to appear in the final," and that she hopes to bring the crown back to "where it belongs" in Bhangra.

Dima Bilan's 'Number One Fan' has been confirmed as the entry to the tenth running of the BuzzJack Song Contest, to be held in the Kingdom of Shadow. :D

Following a huge backlash against Dima Bilan, the Russian superstar has stunned the Bhangrese committee by being the second artist to drop out for this contest, following Wynter Gordon. "There is clearly no place for me in this contest anymore," Bilan was quoted as saying. "The reaction from many other countries, in particular those Kopeckans has been very hostile, and I don't want to disappoint the Bhangrese after my top five finish three months ago. I surrender!" Bhangrese officials quickly announced a replacement for Bilan, in the shape of former United States of Russiatron participant Kate Ryan, singing the aptly titled 'I Surrender'.

It has been announced that Kate Ryan will now sing the infectious 'Free' from the album of the same name in the Kingdom of Shadow.

Gigi D'Alessio arrives in Bhangra

 

Gigi D'Alessio's promotional tour for his entry "Non Mollare Mai" took him today to Bhang, where he will be performing tonight.

 

The Herzebanian entrant is expected to also perform with Belgian singer Lara Fabian in his concert tonight, who is a friend of Bhangra's entry Kate Ryan, and reportedly in the running to be Herzebania's next entrant.

It is with regret that Bhangra will not be participating in the BJSC for the forseeable future. Due to a lack of time, the decision was made by Bhangrese officials to put the country's pariticipation on hold.

this is a shame but I expected it :cry: how will I know when FSR Rontvia does well/badly now, everytime I do well, you do well at the same time :lol:

that's fair enough though, it's not easy to find the time to listen to 40 odd new songs well enough to pass proper judgement on them in the space of a week, so if people are too busy to give the songs their full attention, pulling out is the only option

 

I'm not online as much as possible anymore and dare I say it, my interest in this contest is slightly weaker now than it was a couple of months ago, I'm becoming a bit disillusioned with cheap/awful entries ending up at the top of the leaderboard, so from now on FSR Rontvia are going to take risks as often as possible. Now I've missed the final once, I don't mind if I miss it again so will be trying to be as innovative and daring as possible from now on :D

It will be massively sad to not see Bhangra in the next contest and I'm sorry you had to end on a low note with Kate but I most certainly hope you make a comeback in this contest in the near future after all, you have been so influential on this contest

indeed, Bhangra will be sorely missed, they have been my second favourite country overall (by points given), and Not Ready To Make Nice remains one of my favourite winning songs to date :wub:
