we need to change the rules to allow Melodifestivalen entries to be eligible :lol: only 3 or 4 people in BJSC actually follow it anyway...I wonder how many people follow blogs to look for the latest Kelly Clarkson/Pink leaks, yet these are perfectly eligible entries :rolleyes:

 

I'm fine with this rule change ....... provided it only comes into effect from BJSC XVI onwards, as BJSC XV has already started.

Funnily enough, that was one thought I had :lol: Looks like we will have to make an official apology to Cascadia if they're still listening :P

Hmm.. I think this new rule should not be used before XVI, Comformation is allreday half-way trough... and I have allready given characters for the first 31 on the comformation list.. :(

well Trashlexis just brought the rule change into effect now, and as the host, the only person who it will effect if there are any related changes is me, and I have absolutely no problem with it :D

 

edit: and Jerick apparently...but entry changes are allowed once with a good argument anyway, so you would have had to have changed it for any other song changes anyway :P

I don't think it particularly matters whether or not it comes into force now, seeing as Rich is allowing a free change to anyone provided it's to a previously ineligible entry...

indeed, it's not like the voting has got underway is it!?! the only time I would enforce such a ban is after confirmation closes...until then, it's up to you what you send, and any changes are permitted once

anyway, all of the other rule changes always come into force mid-contest and nobody ever has any problems with them...what about when all of the other 40+ countries National Finals became free reign half way through one contest...nobody even bat an eyelid :lol:

I won't necessarily use the songs, just think that it's unfair to have the option to use all other countries except UK, Ireland and Sweden...we either have a rule to use them all or a rule to use none of them, not some half way point

This isn't. But i don't see THAT many people following ESC (and more importantly - MF! lol) So the main rule - 'introducing people to the (almost - in this case) unknown music you love' is still enforced :P
