I also doubt there are many entries in BIG demand, hence why this rule - which only unbanned the last three NFs which were banned - went through. I don't see how that has ANY relevance to being allowed to send the same artists every contest, hence why that rule will remain

yeah until u feel like sending someone twice and change that. <_<

lol Im not sure if u got my point...I might have give u a points with Maria but now u're out and whoever is 11th will get inside top 10 :P

Agreed 100%...some people love leaks of big stars' new singles, some of us love ESC and never get to share these largely unknown national final songs! To say you won't vote for it because it's ESC related is a real shame Aaron as I think you'd really like quite a few of the past MF entries based on your current chart :D

But that's because this has always been separate from Eurovision and it's been stressed that it's not the BJESC and over the last few months those rules are being faded away. (no doubt because it's Eurovision season -_-) Do a one-off Eurovision Rejects competition in the Eurovision forum by all means (I might have even sent the completely cheesy Liz McClarnon) but keep it away from the BJSC. Like it used to be.

Maybe I will like some of these entries but I'm almost certain they wont be getting anything from me, I don't like this at all. That said, I don't usually like these MF artists with different songs enough to award points anyway.

That's approximately what Kath wrote in The Lounge thread about the voting -_-

That was before this crappy rule change. I wont like your entry anyway, it's not in English.

But why? If you wouldn't have heard it anyway, I don't see what's wrong with allowing it?

It's just the whole Eurovision thing, like I said it's been said that 'this is not a Eurovision contest, we only borrow the points system' and now we're slowly going back on that completely. Next we'll be allowing Eurovision songs as long as they weren't used in the last 5/10 years because most of Buzzjack is too young to remember them. -_-

thanks Aaron...I love you...and the reason why I thank u is because this is what I was exactly trying to say but as u all know English is not my first language and when it comes to deep conversations, most of the times I stuggle to express my thoughts and I always give up and say nothing just because someone might say that Im stupid and my post have no sense :nocheer:

I'm dreading the onslaught of $h!tty Eurovision songs being entered now. :/ Sorry but that contest is a haven for absolutely terrible, cheesy pop songs. The only good song I've EVER heard entered into is Divine by Sebastien Tellier...

I'm not particularly against this change, but I'm not overly happy with it at all. I'll wait and see what happens. If the winner of BJSCXV comes from MF or something like it...guh, that'd be so vomit-worthy.

It feels like we're moving closer to a BJESC contest with this...tbh...I agree with Aaron. As long as it's not a huge trend I'd be okay with it, but if we start getting more than like 2/3 entries...

So far 2 NF songs?

Which I'm fine with, but if we start getting more, that's pushing it imo.

I think this is a fair rule change (assuming I have skimmed through the last pages of posts correctly) National final songs from all countries should be allowed which is fair enough, it's up to people to decide if they want to send a song which some people will know or not. As long as ESC songs are banned I'm happy as ESC songs have already been voted on in the contests themselves.

Tbh I agree with Addy that this rule could have waited until XVI, it is impossible to know how many people may have been considering Cyndi or the other national finalists but have now lost the oppertunity to enter tham as they may have been snapped up by others. It's a fine rule I just think everyone should be given the chance to have their say on it before it is rushed through super quick.

Well we're set to possibly have more yet with Cyndi confirmed. (that's three 3 NF songs) Then Tom Kay has been planning to send Velvet inc. and Juranamo has now reserved Big Brovaz. Velvet inc. and Tone have been allowed since last month (though I STILL don't approve of either) but it's all getting too Eurovision already and this is only a few hours after the rule changed.

There will be a rush of entries this time but I'm certain it won't affect the contest too much in the long run and at the end of the day they're mostly unknown tracks so it doesn't really matter does it?
