Maria and Mira are happy to have finished 3rd in BJSC7, a fifth straight top ten for FSR Rontvia

and we are delighted to be hosting the 8th contest next month :cheer:

Rontvia's song details will be confirmed soon...

It might all end as it ended up in 2006's SF :kink:
Kate Ryan can only flop once

Belgium should try her again and then we'll see :kink: :heehee:

who said I was sending Kate Ryan :kink:

it's not quite good enough to be an FSR Rontvia entry

FSR Rontvia has decided to turn it's back on an internal selection for BJSC8 which it will automatically qualify for and wishes to reveal the four songs in contention for it's entry

>Meja - All 'Bout The Money

>West End Girls with Magnus Carlson - What Have I Done To Deserve This

>Tristan Prettyman - Madly

>Wildcard TBC

ok...here are the videos to the four songs competing in FSR Rontvia's BJSC8 final...I don't want votes as I will do the choosing but feel free to share your opinions on the songs:

1. West End Girls with Magnus Carlson - What Have I Done To Deserve This?

2. Multicyde - Not For The Dough

3. Aurora - The Day It Rained Forever

4. Missy Higgins - Scar

all amazing...all very different  two of these were minor underrated hits in the UK, the other two are unheard of by most...

the national final will be on Saturday July 5th where one of these songs will aim to become the 6th consecutive top ten finish for FSR Rontvia

Hmm I don't know if I will like any of these songs enough to give them points when everyone has selected their songs but my favourites at the moment are "Shy That Way" and "He Loves U Not".
West End Girls definately my favorite there, they all seem quit different to what Rontvia normally send

yeah, there's only so many times I can get away with sending a mid-tempo female led song :P

I've got rid of Dream's He Loves U Not, because I realised that a lot of people probably already know it, and I'd prefer to introduce people to a song than remind them of it...

so...I've replaced it with Scar by Missy Higgins, which is a bit more of a traditional FSR Rontvia entry, and is an incredible song that must be heard

FSR Rontvia bookies are having trouble determining which entry will be representing the home country, and have offered these odds:

West End Girls - 6/4 joint fave

Missy Higgins - 6/4 joint fave

Aurora - 4/1

Tristan Prettyman and Jason Mraz - 7/1

I think Missy Higgins has a much better song than the rest. ^_^

thanka again for your input Adi :D I know she has quite a strong accent in places, but Scar could have been a huge radio hit here if given some support...

Personally, my favourite is Aurora by quite a stretch.

I also like West End Girls and Missy Higgins, but I think the latter would be such an incredibly safe entry. You're already hosting the thing, so I would say go with something different and pick West End Girls out of those two.
