This would be the last #1 by a non-UK act until Timbaland ft Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake - Give It To Me in April 2007 (21 weeks later).

#9 and #16 were both falling fast due to deletion from I-Tunes.

#11 would stay at #11 the following week - frustratingly Razorlight & Girls Aloud jumped back into the top 10!

#19 was in a run of -20-19-20-20-.

#33 would stay at that position for 3 weeks.

#45 would climb back up to #40 the following week.

#67 was the latest in a long line of themed hits for the band: their previous hits were Thirteen/Fourteen, Twelve, Nine, and Eighteen - spot the theme?

#70 was in its 3rd consecutive week at that position.

However, the most notable feature of this chart was the absence of the previous week's #26 - a song which was kicked out due to a stupid chart rule. Thankfully the rules changed soon after, so it was allowed back in, and remains in the chart to this day (I feel I do not need to mention what song this was). It was such a surprise that I actually thought it had climbed when listening to the chart show (in fact I believe it would have been #21 if it had been eligible), only realising it had dropped out when counting how many songs were left to chart.

This was the week that OASIS - STOP THE CLOCKS E.P. was disqualified from the chart. AKON went to the number one spot because downloads outweighed the physical. If a physical only chart was still in practice OASIS would have been number one! And disqualified due to the number of tracks! But if it was allowed to chart, it would have just scraped the top 5, on the combined downloads and physicals.

Thank Heavens for Take That coming in to save the day at number 4. Otherwise ... pretty ordinary.
