omg Kylie's new comeback album is so not doing very well. Is Australia the only place she's got to #1 and even with poor sales on that?! Its such a shame cos' unlike Britney, Kylie has spent so much time promoting! I was at my library at uni last night and i saw some newspaper headlines and surprise surprise....they all caught on that Kylie's big comeback has flopped and that her new cd only reached #4 in the UK with poor sales in Europe! :(

The papers were bound to gather 'round this misfortune! :(

The difference is Britney had a lot of media attention before, a more comercial song to launch the album and also kylie is probably selling more than Britney's (hers just happened to debut high and then plummet). :(.

Okay, let's get one thing straight. Kylie's album made #4 in the UK on sales of 82,000 which is DAMN GOOD and more than Britney's album had sold in total. It's also set to remain in the top 5 this week ensuring brilliant sales again and as it's still relatively high up in the christmas period will ensure it sells brilliantly. And that's before she releases the strong singles she has under her belt.

So, you were saying?

well said aly, x will do well, top 5 again this week should guarantee at least 50,000 sales, and with x around for the christmas market it will sell well, there will be 3 more single i'd say off the album which will again help sell the album and with the brits coming up i think x will get another sales boost, x will easily outsell body language and pass the 400,000 mark

the press have been hugely positive about sales of x so far

and 2 hearts looks like spending a fourth week in the top 10 although it only made number 4 it will outsell many former number 1 hits

The fact is, someone saying is a flop based on the fact they are over-optimistic about Kylie's sales, then they overlook Leona and $h!t Ward.

She has not flopped, sure it would have been nice to see the single and album both number one but the sales are very good which is more a reflection on her longevity - acts like McFly get to number one then plummet due to a small fanbase, Kylie will knock around for a long time!

im so disappointed with Irish charts this week kylie falling 23 with X places was disappointing but 2 hearts is doing more steady business falling 5 places to number 22

on fridays midweeks Kylie has 42,000 sales at number 5 with x,eagles are just 1000 ahead at number 4, X could well shift 60,000+ by sunday bringing sales well past 140,000 already which is great

And if it remains top 20 on christmas week (which I think it will as it seems to be holding up very well), then it'll sell around 100k on that week alone.

And holy cow, X fell from 14 to 37 in Ireland? :o

yeah, x is shaping up very well in the uk but sadly it iznt here in ireland, i hope it can steady up a bit in the next few weeks here
