Kylie Minogue chalks up her second new hit albums in a year, thanks to X, which debuts this week at number four on sales of 82,370. Minogue’s 14th hit album – all but 1991’s Let’s Go To It made the Top 10 – it follows January’s live Showgirl: Homecoming Live In Sydney, which debuted at number seven on sales of 17,265, and also eclipses the 68,866 first week sales of her last new studio album, Body Language, which debuted and peaked at number six in 2003, and subsequently sold 398,035 copies. 2 Hearts, the first single from X, dips 8-9 on sales of 13,651.

x has sold around 13k this week so far so hopefully it will sell another 50,000 at the least this week overall

Body Language sold pretty well considering the fairly disappointing peak, the skydive down the charts and short chart life.

 

I'm certain X will sell more, and I think she could potentially land herself a million seller with X if the project is handled properly.

I'm suprised Body Language has sold so much :o I hope X sells more.

I'm pretty sure X will sell more, she needs to release decent singles at decent times though, foresight from the record company would be appreciated with release dates....

X will never sell a million! Perhaps it'll pass half a million or get to double platinum, but no way a million...IMO. :P

Well think about it, X is likely to be relatively high in the christmas period which will equal MASSIVE sales, and this is all before the other singles are released (which I'm sure can be huge if like I said, they're handled properly).

i cant see it selling a million but i do think it will easily shift half a million in the uk

not including this weeks sales X has sold 194,000 in the uk,this week should at least see it past 250,000

If it doesn't get to 250k this week I'll be worried. It'll take 3 more singles to surpass Body Language's 410k total sales.

X will probably sell about half a million in total if its lucky. It will be hard after xmas to generate good sales for the album unless a killer single is released.
