Dannii's Music Flop?

It hasn't been a good week for Dannii Minogue. First of all one of her fellow judges laid into her on Saturday's X Factor show... And now it appears that her new single is far from being a mahoosive hit.

 

The Daily Mirror reports that Dannii's latest release, Touch Me Like That, has sold less than 1,500 copies since it hit the shops at the beginning of this week.

 

A figure that's unlikely to see the song make it to the UK's Top 40 chart.

 

An X Factor source told the newspaper: "Knowing Sharon (Osbourne) and Louis (Walsh) they'll make it their mission to keep reminding her because it winds her up so much."

 

"But Simon (Cowell) is very protective of Dannii and will no doubt be reassuring her that she's wonderful."

 

Let the X-style fireworks commence...

I doubt they'll even mention on the show about her new single...they're probably oblivious to the fact that she still releases music

it's not her finest moment - but I did think it would be a massive single to be honest.....

In all fairness, she's barely promoted it. Well not in the right places - loads of promo on local radio but nothing on TV, which is what she needed given the total lack of radio airplay. I'd rather it had been released next month and gone Top 20, tbh, because sales-wise it doesn't look to be doing any worse than So Under Pressure (#20 June 2006, 10k sold).

So Under Pressure was a fantastic single, I thought, should've done much more.

Being on the x factor hasn't helped her career at all :lol:

i have neve rbeen big into dannii but she is in the music business for quiet a few years now so i wouldnt call her a flop

For me it's her second best behind 'I Begin To Wonder'. I agree it should have done more and I was gutted it flopped. Especially since the $h!tty 'Perfection' managed to chart better.
