'IT WON'T BE A BOOZY BREAK WITH ROB'

09:40 - 18 December 2007

Most dads look forward to seeing their kids at Christmas, but for Pete Conway, right, it means jetting off to sunny Los Angeles.Robbie Williams' dad will be spending a Californian-style Christmas and New Year with him.

"I always look forward to spending Christmas with my son," he said.

"I'm flying out at the weekend and I'm spending Christmas and New Year in Los Angeles with Robbie.

"The weather is certainly a lot better there than it is here, but then the weather is better almost anywhere other than here. I like the snow, but I prefer the warm sunshine.

"I've been going over there at Christmas for a couple of years now, and I really enjoy it. We actually have a very quiet time - it's not what everyone imagines Christmas in Los Angeles to be like.

"Rob doesn't drink, so it certainly won't be a boozy Christmas.

"It will just be a nice family Christmas with my lad."

An apology hidden on page 2 of The Mirror today - thanks to Rock DJ at TRWS

In an article entitled 'Fleeced: Robbie hit by £200,000 con' (31/10/2007) we reported that Robbie had given money to friends after they begged for help in setting up a fashion label but they then blew the cash on partying. Whilst Robbie was asked for cash he never gave or contributed any money to friends or associates to assist them in establishing a fashion label. We are happy to set the record straight.

Aye right.....

Bloody idiots. They are happy to set the record stright when they are the ones who made up the bloody thing to begin with and made Rob look like an idiot. Honestly, they should've been made to write a huge article about their reasons for feeling the need to report such lies and unfound information to the public. But I guess that will never happen. Glad he took action though, shame he does'nt do it more often.

That's the thing about newspaper retractions though. The original article is put on page 1 and read by 10 million people. The retraction is hidden away on page 53 beside an advert for stair lifts and read only by a man with constipation who has been sitting on the bog for 3 hours.... <_<

Spice Girls set to replace Robbie?

EXCLUSIVE by ANDREI HARMSWORTH - Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Ginger, Scary, Sporty, Baby and Posh set for an EMI take over? The Spice Girls are on the brink of replacing Robbie Williams at EMI as part of a new multi-million pound album deal, Metro.co.uk can reveal.

Insiders at the record label plan an audacious move for the girls to record new material.

It comes just days after rumours the label is set to ditch Robbie Williams because his music is failing to sell.   :arrr:

Company bosses now want to sign a different international act which can pull in the cash.

The whole deal rests on the success of the Spice tour, which has already been dogged by rumours of b**ch fighting between the band.

A record company insider said: 'EMI has more than 2,000 artists and as one of the labels biggest stars Robbie represents more than one percent of the group's review. Last year it was far less than that - massively.'

Williams had a disastrous year in 2007 letting it all hang out in Amsterdam and fading into the shadows of former band Take That.

His highest chart position missed the top 10 with 'She's Madonna' limping in at number 11 - one chart position that won't make 'good business sense' to EMI and one that doesn't bode well for a renewed contract.

'Now one deal that does make good commercial sense is a Spice Girls album deal depending on how the tour goes,'the source revealed.

While a spokeswoman for EMI would not comment on the label's relationship with Williams, the source revealed the new Spice album is just round the corner.

Reports that Williams' five year relationship with the label was in tatters came after his manager, Tim Clark, said last weekend: 'I would be very wary about signing him to any major label at the moment,' saying 'all options' were on the table once he finishes his two last obligated albums.'

Williams signed to the label in 2002, in a record breaking six album deal worth £80 million.

PR guru Max Clifford said: 'The Spice Girls popularity is about curiosity and nostalgia but it will only last so long.

'Touring wise they are great. Recording wise they have been terrible.'

Clifford says a new deal is a gamble: 'They must have record success to secure the deal. I would say it's a big gamble for any record company.

'The failure of their charity single speaks volumes. The next single has to be a massive hit or it's the end.

'A figure on a potential deal would be hard but they need a number one.'

Emi added: 'We don't ever talk about artist negotiations or the terms of their contracts.'

:arrr: :arrr: :arrr: :arrr:

What a load of bollocks on so many levels.

Oh I am fuming after reading that. The person who wrote it clearly has it in for Rob, as they quite obviously go out of their way to slag him off, contradicting themselfs various times in the process. To say EMI are going to ditch Rob due to low sales, and a bad 2007, and then to quote his manager saying it is Robbie who might not re-sign, therefor he is ditching them. Trust the British media to twist things in such an ignorant manner. Are they so thick or taking the p***? Rob has'nt worked at all in 2007, so it was hardly going to be a mega successful year ffs. I have left a comment but they have not posted it up. Metro have a history of only allowing negetive comments about Rob up :puke:

That last article is bollocks tbh... I mean, they say they want an 'International Artist'. How more 'International' can you get? -_-
LOL. That's so pathetic.
From News of the Screws. Can't find this story online so I'll have to type it up. <_<

Multi-millionare pop star Robbie Williams gave a stranger a cigarette- then demanded 12p for it.

The freshly bearded singer was Christmas shopping with actor pal Max Beasley in LA. And when the man approached the greying star  asking for a cigarette Robbie, 33, reluctantly agreed.

But as he was driving off Robbie realised the man who took the ciggie was a paparazzo photographer. The singer flipped and demanded the paltry payment. An onlooker said 'Robbie went completely mad and was cursing at the photographer. He yelled at him to come up to the car. That's when Robbie demanded a quarter. It was most bizarre.'

<_<

He should have just decked the guy instead ............ or actually he should have asked for more than a quarter

Are they completely off their rockers ?!

Friggin' idiots completely contradicted themselves

What I really don't get and its p***ing me off is - why not just say that he took the year - 2007 - off instead of twisting it into his career tanking

Interesting how they say She's Madonna limped in at number 11 yet don't mention TT's single - I'd Wait For Life - crawling in at number 17.

So Rob's contract will be up with 2 more album and then most likely he will not resign with EMI ............ I can just see the British press now, saying that EMI dropped him instead of saying that Rob didn't want to resign with them. You know they'll twist it around somehow to make him look the worst for it.

Robbie concert ticket seller fined

http://www.expressandstar.com/2007/12/22/r...t-seller-fined/

A ticket agency has been fined £12,000 after a Robbie Williams fan sold the ‘best front seats’ for his concert found herself stuck too far back to see her idol properly.

X-Ray Touring admitted selling four tickets with a false description to Gillian Ruddell, of Walsall, ahead of the singer’s show at Croke Park in Ireland.

The London-based tour agency admitted three offences under section 14 of the Trade Descriptions Act of causing a company to falsely describe tickets for the concert as ‘best front seats’, and was fined by Walsall magistrates.

From the Celeb Xmas Wish lists from Contract Music.com - honestly, I can't believe these people get payed to write this

ROBBIE WILLIAMS Robbie makes no bones of the fact he is the most boring star in showbiz. Having kicked the drugs and alcohol his main vices are cigarettes and, er, fat-free, sugar-free lollipops. Yes, apparently the weight-conscious hitmaker has a stash of them in his Beverly Hills mansion, and gets through a dozen or so a day. He is also a board games and DVD fanatic - preferring a quiet night in than going out on the town. One of his favourite games is family classic Ludo, which he loves to play on the back of his tour bus, apparently. But Robbie does venture out every now and then - to play a round of golf. He's been known to play 40 holes in one go, so if you're desperate to emulate his style, a spanking new set of clubs might be the perfect Christmas gift for you. Surprisingly, the Angels hitmaker is also a bit of a spiritual warrior, obsessed with finding himself (as well as that illusive perfect woman). He says, "I meditate every day, and I pray every morning and evening" - so a book of meditation, which incorporates tips on finding love would be perfect for all you Rob-a-likes. The former Take That member is also a big fan of navel-gazing (he dubs himself "a self-obsessed son-of-a-b**ch") so no doubt he has a few copies of his own biography stashed away. Certainly no fan of Robbie's should be without one. If you love Robbie, you'll love: Sugar-free lollies, pastilles, gums etc (www.sugarfreesweets.co.uk) Feel: Robbie Williams, by Chris Heath approx $14 (GBP7) (www.amazon.com) The Book of Secrets: Keys to Love and Meditation by Osho, approx $25 (GBP12.50) (www.amazon.com) Handmade Wooden Ludo Set, approx $200 (GBP100) (www.mastersgames.com/cat/board/ludo.htm) or Normal plastic Ludo set, $14 (GBP6.99)

My Ludo set has some of the yellow bits missing..
