 Yeah, i recently went to a car boot sale on Easter bank holiday and picked up about 30 records including everything from The Carpenters to Black Lace for £6 which i thought was a bargain. Not bad, considering i walked over a mile in the snow to get there. ;) and it was the only stall still standing :)

Thats dedication for you, did you build a snowman on your way :yahoo:

Paper Lace, wow thats wicked  I look through all the Vinyl's and people must think i am mad, because all i say, "Oh my God, i remember these" !!

i personally collect vinyl's, i love trawling through them at record fairs and record shops.

i have mainly old 70's punk/hardcore punk 7"s and new released 7"'s but i also have a mixture of other things such as new and old albums and 90's 12"'s and much more...

now thats would be intersting - personally my 7" are new limited editions that are got for collecting perposes rather than playing (havent got a record played - theres an old one somewhere in my dads room but it would take him ages to get out) - nice to look at and collect - rather than just fot the music.

if i ever get old punk records its not vinyl it just from the £3 cd selection and a lot of the times i dont know what im buying - tho i think people like northern soul - rare groove obsessives going round record fairs and record shops are good - i would like to do that but i dont know enough to identify the good rare stuff

Naah - Not enough snow down here, however i did batter my Brother in a snowball fight  I stood there in bitter winds & snow going through his records talking about what i had and what i didn't until my hands were about to drop off, my Brother telling me to hurry up, then it was inside for a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea

Most my punk 7"'s arethings like Dead Kennedy's and The Clash, I know roughly how to identify rare stuff at record fairs and record shops, mostly because im sad and read 'Record Collector', i have most records for collectible purpose's but i still listen to them loads, i dont see the point in buying stuff for display, might aswell have point in it. I do buy quite alot of new limited editions aswell.

question is 'do you collect every 'Record Collector' and keep those in order too?

no, i only get 'Record Collector' if it has decent articles, and i dont tend to keep them in much order, once ive read them i just normally dump them somewhere.
