Posted December 15, 200717 yr Pop superstar Madonna has reportedly sent a team out to Malawi - who will be conducting a search for another orphan. The 49-year-old ‘Material’ is said to be desperate to get a sister for her adopted son David Banda, two - who she adopted, amidst much controversy in October 2006. Madonna, married to ‘Snatch’ director Guy Ritchie was said to be devastated when the family of a girl she wanted to adopted blocked her application. Earlier this year, British newspaper The Sun revealed that Madonna hoped to take home 20-month-old Mercy James - who she called a “smiling angel”. Madonna’s first plan to adopt a girl called Grace collapsed in April when her extended family objected. Last week. Madonna, who already has 2 children of her own, Lourdes, 10, & Rocco, 7, told four of her staff: “Don’t rest until you’ve found me my princess.” Madonna’s aides are searching a different region of Malawi for orphans - based around the town of Salima, 100 miles east of capital Lilongwe. They have been told to draw up a shortlist of nine kids whose families agree not to block an adoption. A pal of the star is quoted as saying: “Madonna is heartbroken about Mercy. She told everyone she was her new daughter and carried her picture around. All she dreams about is a sister for David.”
