Z-Factor winner Leon will release his cover of the Mariah/Whitney soundtrack duet for the Prince Of Egypt, When You Believe.

We're not in the chart forum so I don't have to be diplomatic.

 

1. He did not deserve to win. Hopeless, Same Difference, scary-eyes Rhydian and her with the dead dad were much better.

 

2. No one should cover a song by two of music's most successful and most accomplished voices

 

3. He cannot pull it off AT ALL

 

4. Mariah may end up at #2 again this christmas. But instead of losing out to a well-loved pop song, she'll lose out to a weeping gimp

 

5. If Ray couldn't make a career out of singing swing almost in tune, this boy can't.

100% agree!

 

It's almost embarrasing that Mariah will loose out on a good chance of being #1 this year to a song that she recorded herself, which only previously got to #4, yet this pile of c**p will be #1.

It's absolutely vile. I never really liked this song much when Whitney & Mariah did it to be honest, even though they're two of my favourite singers ever, but this is just an AWFUL cover version. I almost feel sorry for him because he never had a chance of matching up to two of the best vocalists of this musical era with his weak version. :lol:

Should be in a tribute band if he wants to do covers, this is what I don't like about these reality TV show winners.

I like his version of this song and I liked Mariahs too

DREADFUL cover. :( I saw him on TV this morning and he couldn't hit ANY high notes AT ALL. He's a DREADFUL singer.

It sounds all flat to me, or it's either that he has a really weird of 'pushing his voice out of his throat'. :unsure:

To be fair, If he sung something commercial like 'Sway' or 'Feelin' Good', then I might of grown to him, but there's just something I really dislike about him. :lol:

Final observation: last year's winner was Leona. This year's winner is Leon. I'm quite tempted to call up my friend Leo from university and tell her to call for an application form right away - she stands a good chance of winning next year.
