Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has started work on his first solo album - but insists the LP won't affect his career with BABYSHAMBLES. The singer, 28, is thrilled with the new songs he has recorded but has reassured fans the album won't spell the end for his band. He says, "It doesn't conflict with Babyshambles at all. It's just a continuation of what I do. "I've always done solo recording but instead of just knocking it out on the Internet like I used to, I'm getting a little album together." Doherty - whose drug habit forced him to leave his previous band The Libertines in 2004 - has yet to decide on a title for the forthcoming record which is due for completion later this year (08).

it feels more personal when he does solo performances and leaks them on the internet rather than making an album realesing in shops, ive most his solo recordings and it just wouldnt feel the same if it was out in hmv and stuff

I wouldn't really be surprised if that was removed Jonny. They have some kind of policy there of only 'relevant' links or something, and although it is relevant it's not really active so I don't know. We'll see if it gets removed or not. :lol:

Now Amy Winehouse kicks the Pete Doherty habit

 

Amy Winehouse’s long-suffering parents were no doubt relieved when the troubled star checked into rehab again last week, days after being pictured on front pages allegedly smoking crack cocaine.

 

But they will be just as delighted at the news that Amy has also decided to kick another bad habit – her friendship with ‘recovering’ drug addict Pete Doherty.

 

The addled Babyshambles singer – described by Amy’s father Mitch as a ‘scumbag’ – had been spending a lot of time at Amy’s East London home.

 

But now, I can reveal, she has fallen out with Potty Pete – because she suspects one of his friends was involved in the newspaper report that saw her drug addiction exposed to millions.

 

Amy, 24, was filmed allegedly smoking the drug from a pipe just hours before she turned up in court to support husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is in jail awaiting trial on charges of perverting the course of justice.

 

Says a mole: “Pete and Amy were hanging out a lot until recently. The rule with Amy is no one goes to her house without drugs, so they all went with plenty of supplies. Amy doesn’t pay much attention to the people coming in and out of her home and there are always lots of hangers-on.

 

“The truth is she is devastated that one of her so-called friends has stitched her up and filmed her.

 

“She has a suspicion it might have something to do with one of Pete’s friends who supplied him with drugs. At the moment she isn’t taking Pete’s calls. She has said she’s not happy with him.”

 

The pair had been friends for years and Doherty was on hand to comfort Amy when Blake was arrested last November. They even planned to record a single together.

 

But “Pete will not be popping by in the near future”, my source assures me.

TROUBLED rocker Pete Doherty finally turned up for a concert after cancelling seven times - and only after getting a taxi for 270 miles.

 

He then tried to recoup the fare from Munich, Germany, to the gig in Graz, Austria, by going to a porn cinema and demanding more than £2000 to pose in front for publicity shots. Bosses declined the offer.

 

Manager Bettina Aichbauer said: "It was good to have him as a visitor but paying that was out of question."

 

Doherty also attacked a photographer on arrival and collapsed on stage during an encore.

 

The next day, Doherty had to get up for an early flight to the capital, Vienna and arrived in the same clothes.

Apparently this is all a load of bull$h!t. More lies about Pete made up by the media. :lol:
