December 21, 200717 yr It will probably be between Samanda, Same Difference, Michelle Mcmanus, Jodie Marsh and Shayne Lynch. Royaume-Uni, nil points
December 21, 200717 yr we will never win eurovision - even if we had madonna sing for us lol Absolutely right Craigy! I think even if we had a supergroup made up of Madonna, Kylie, Rhianna, Sugababes (once they'd taken on British nationality of course) and then dug up John Lennon & Freddie Mercury to write the song ... we'd still come last ... in fact we probably wouldn't even have that honour ... we'd come second to last! And Gary .... phew ... thank God you'd not do it ... yes - you would get stick ... even I would stop liking Take That if they did Euro! Norma
December 21, 200717 yr Author We would do damn fine if we sent a good song. What people seem to forget is that our recent run of $h!t results - which is a mere five years - has comprised of absolute $h!t songs. I mean would any of you who are blaming it on politics ever DREAM of voting for a tuneless duo, bland male with a guitar, clone of just about every song from the previous year, paedoish old bloke dancing round with a load of school girls or a teen bubblegum pop act? :manson: No, and neither will the rest of Europe.

Gotta be honest ... I only tune in for the voting - so I haven't actually heard any of our songs (or any of the other country's efforts for that matter). The voting is the best thing ... especially Terry's commentary! I think the last time I listened to any Eurovision songs seriously was round about the time that Abba won (and there were several good songs that year) and maybe Bucks Fizz - and I hate to admit it ... but I actually liked one or two of their songs and especially the Land of Make Believe! :o :o Norma
December 21, 200717 yr Author Haha Bucks Fizz are proper Euro-pop aren't they? Unfortunately though, Europe despises that sort of music now - as do most of the UK - but a vast majority of the 'Making Your Mind Up' voters don't seem to take this into consideration, and we still end up sending $h!t to the Contest. :(
December 25, 200717 yr we will never win eurovision - even if we had madonna sing for us lol What are you going off - the fact we haven't won with utter dross for the past 4 years? :)

David, please pin this in a thread titled 'All morons who don't follow Eurovision properly read this before you spout your utter $h!te'...
January 6, 200817 yr Maybe our only hope is to get somebody famous? Somebody who is known all over Europe and has a pan-European fan base? But would a 'big name' act be interested? how about Vladimir Putin
January 7, 200817 yr Mika would do well in eurovision i think, but i have a feeling same differnce could be flying theflag for the uk this year
January 7, 200817 yr we will never win eurovision - even if we had madonna sing for us lol And someone else forgets that the reason the United Kingdom have had sh!t results since 2003 (inclusive, natch) is due to having sh!t songs. I mean, who the f*** in their right minds voted for Scooch last year? We might have done better if Cyndi had won (like Terry Wogan originally said).
January 9, 200817 yr We could have Gary Barlow, Morrissey, Girls Aloud, Mika, Robbie Williams and Lisa Scott-Lee as the line-up but the UK Public will still pick Lisa because it's camp and 'perfect for Eurovision'. Then the same people will complain when we finish in the bottom 4 again claiming it to be fixed and everyone hates us.
