Avril Lavigne performed just two songs at a gig in Canada before leaving to watch the Spice Girls, according to US reports.

 

The singer arrived an hour late for a free gig in Burnaby, British Columbia, and cut her set short so that she could catch the band's show in nearby Vancouver.

 

She also reportedly further irritated fans by failing to apologise after leaving them waiting in the "freezing, snowy" weather at the outdoor concert.

 

Hannah Bryla, 14, told Star magazine: "It’s so unfair! It seems like her fans aren’t important to her.”
