Arctic Monkeys had to settle for second place in a recently conducted survey in which 16-25-year olds were asked of their most inspirational figures in the creative arts world.

Out of the 4,500 asked, Arctic Monkeys were mentioned enough times to be awarded second place, only failing to beat claymated cartoon characters Wallace & Gromit, whose success in the poll was likely due to their recent box office hit 'The Curse of the Were-Rabbit'

Arctic Monkeys did manage to beat cartoon band Gorillaz and 'Society' as a whole, who finished third and fourth respectively.

Here is the top 25 list:

1 Wallace and Gromit

2 Arctic Monkeys :cheer:

3 Gorillaz

4 Society

5 Harry Potter

6 Chris Martin

7 KT Tunstall

8 Keira Knightley

9 Big Brother

10 David Beckham

11 Damien Hirst

12 Kate Moss

= 13 Chantelle Houghton :puke2:

= 13 Preston

15 Dizzee Rascal

16 Mario Testino

17 Tony Blair

18 Pete Doherty

19 The Royal Family

20 Stella McCartney

21 Alexander McQueen

22 Jude Law

23 Tracey Emin

24 John Galliano

25 June Sarpong

I never did comment on this back in the day. :o

Is quite an intresting list. ^_^ I expect if this list was conducted now though The Arctics would be a fair few places lower. :(
