Here's the thing.

 

I got an E-Mail today from the Inner Scrotum telling me my membership is up for renewal on 21st January. And this time they can't take the money automatically as my Visa has expired. :teresa:

 

Anyway, I'm really not convinced this time. I renewed last year but don't feel I've had my money's worth.

 

What I got-

 

- a dvd that wasn't very exciting

- access to a few videos (most of which were re-hashed and that I'd seen before)

- no blogs to speak of

- 'exclusive' songs that everyone and their granny had access to before I even logged in to the I.S. :rolleyes:

 

 

This year's renewal costs £25. It says I will get another 'free gift' dvd. No idea what's supposed to be on it. I do like to support Robbie but don't really like being taken for a mug either.

 

I notice you have the option to 'renew' or 'cancel'. If you choose 'cancel' you've to tell them why. :rolleyes:

I'd cancel if I were you. He took 07 off, which is why so little happened, and why I did'nt renew, and although we know he will most likely return next year, it could be late next year. So I am just going to wait and see what happens. Whenever I hear he is releasing new material, I will renew, in order to get the exclusives (although we all know that EVERYTHING from the official makes it onto youtube before it even loads on the official :lol: ), and advance concert tickets. When I decided not to renew earlier this year, I thought I would be missing on some things, but I haven't really, so I am glad I did'nt renew. If it was'nt quite as expensive I would've stayed but it is nearly €50. :arrr:

 

Also, why are they making people renew. Did'nt they give an extra few months earlier this year due to it being Rob's Birthday or somthing? They are taking that away now by the renewal being early. And what is with this thing with the visa expiring. This seems to have been said to most people, even those who's visa has'nt expired. :wacko:

Oh my visa does expire this month. :teresa: It doesn't seem like a full year since I last renewed but maybe it is. :unsure:

 

 

Anyway, as for the 'free gift dvd'. Instead of a dvd full of daft wee clips and interviews, how about an exclusive concert dvd? We all know some of his Close Encounters concerts were filmed. Why don't they stick a concert on a dvd and give it to IS members? One of the South American or Mexican ones would be good. :cheer:

Absolutelly brilliant idea. Honestly, we should be in charge of the IS :lol: I say we send a load of emails to them demaning the free DVD be a gig from the tour or we will not renew. :lol:

Anyway, it seems to me that you're being taken for a bit of a mug Jups. ;) I wouldn't pay £25 for what you got (this year) so I do't think you should renew. Plus he's not realy doing anything right now so that (might) limit the stuff you will get?

Well tbf, anything that is fair and exclusive will leak it's way onto the internet, and anything that's "free" from an artists website, then of course it's rubbish, but in a rare case if it's good, you can get it on ebay/amazon or whatever.

 

They're only usesfull for concert tickets, but I doubt Robbie will tour till 2010. :P
