We kick the chart off with 2 of the 10 new entries and also 3 big drops aswell. The new entries come from Kelly Rowland and Ernie K-Doe, with a song originally released in 1970. This has been receiving exposure from a Boots Christmas Advert. The fallers are Queens Of The Stone Age, Foals, who could make it big in 2008, and Remi Nicole, who is the weeks biggest faller dropping from 46-74.

2 more new entries here from Duffy, a young Welsh singer-songwriter set for massive things in 2008, and Scouting For Girls with Elvis Ain’t Dead, which is their catchiest single yet in my opinion, but it’ll need to appear in quite a lot more charts to beat the peak of previous single She’s So Lovely, which peaked at #21. Also small drops for Editors and Pendulum, and our first rise of the chart by Newton Faulkner.

5 more drops down the chart here, all of which could be considered long runners. Nicole Scherzinger has flopped with her debut solo single it seems, peaking at only #16. The Hoosiers drop for the 5th week running, although they suffered their biggest drop yet, going from 45-64. Jordin Sparks has done well despite having no UK release, and is now in her 12th week in the chart. Ida Corr/Fedde Le Grand drop 20 places, but are one of the longest runners in the chart at 16 weeks, and Avril is at #61, although Hot hasn’t reached the same levels as Girlfriend and When You’re Gone, which both made the #1 spot.

Our 5th new entry so far comes from Radiohead, with the debut single from their apparently “revolutionary” album In Rainbows. 2 more big drops come from Maroon 5 and Mika, although Mika still has 2 songs to come. White Stripes also drop, and now look set to miss the top 40 with their 3rd single from Icky Thump. Stereophonics give us our 2nd rise of the chart, rising from 61-57 with My Friends.

We say hello to our first 2 Christmas songs in the chart, with Wham rising 15 places up to 53. Also Andy Williams is a surprise Christmas Entry at #55, although his song is boosted by its appearance on the Marks & Spencers Christmas Advert. We’re down to just 4 new entries in the top 50. The other 3 songs drop, with KT Tunstall on the slide, along with The Killers and The Enemy. All 3 have had bigger hits this year, most notably KT, who hit #6 with previous single Hold On.

Nickelback fall 15 places, but I really don’t know why Rockstar even appeared, considering the album is over 2 years old. Something to do with famous people in the video? I don’t get it personally :lol:

We lose 2 more of our new entries just before the top 40, although both are brilliant pop/dance songs that deserve to be hits. Filo & Peri arrive at #45 with Anthem, and Electrovamp are new at #43. Electrovamp are 2 sisters from South Wales called Kally and Tammy, and look set to storm the chart in early 2008 with I Don’t like the Vibe in the VIP. Another star in the making Adele makes a big rise from 72-44, but it’s not quiet our biggest rise of the chart. Kate Bush drops slightly, and looks like she’s hit her peak now, but I’m not sure why Christina Aguilera dropped, unless it’s a really poor song. I haven’t heard it personally, but most of the stuff she does gets high in the Multichart.

We kick off the top 40 with my personal favourite pop star, Ashlee Simpson. Outta My Head doesn’t currently have a UK release date and im not sure if there are plans to release it here, but it looks like it could be a big hit for her.
