December 28, 200717 yr Ignore him, hes always right  Oh i know, anyone with the patience to sit on Buzzjack at that age must have some serious wisdom :kink:
December 28, 200717 yr Ooh I don't know what all this fighting is about and I can't be arsed to go back and read the thread but Annie Lennox pisses all over Dido from a great height.
December 29, 200717 yr And another thing (Double posting must be fun cause RUSS does it) my! You really do take notice of everything I post, don't you? Still - I suppose it saves you from listening to Kyliefrapp's latest. I like the name in full caps, though - although, it has to be said, hero worship leaves me feeling a little uneasy - so steady on, sunshine. I'd answer Jark - but, to be honest, he resembles my heroine Tracey Thorn so much I don't like being too unkind to him. Often. Edited December 29, 200717 yr by russt68
December 29, 200717 yr And exactly what point were you making by bringing up Jark's appearance? It's very low and uncalled for to be honest. Debate is fine, but to stoop to that level just because someone has a different opinion? Very immature. Everyone is entitled to think whatever they want; that's music for you. It's not even like he said Annie wasn't talented; he just prefers Dido.

December 29, 200717 yr It's sadly become 'cool to diss Dido; all part of the thing they do in the media which starts with hyping up an artist and then waiting to tear them down. Precisely. See also Coldplay. The media are so damn inconsistent in their opinions. The quotes are there because I dont regard Dannii as being an artist at all.... Not a fan of Kylie's music either (especially the c**p-awful Goldfrapp-lite bollocks she's coming away with atm...) to be honest, but at least she has an iconic status about her. Dannii has no such quality... Kylie has an iconic status; no idea how she achieved it yet. Vocal ability of a budgie. I'd take Dannii over Kylie any day.
December 29, 200717 yr Why do russ and Grimly, but russ especially, feel a need to bring in other artists to debates and use them as a defence for their ridiculous petty arguments/ It really pi**es me off tbh, russ is pathetically low and finds a need to cause arguments. Must make him feel like a real mature person inside in some weird way...

Must make him feel like a real mature person inside in some weird way... you shouldn't let things get to you so much... really...... but, as I stated before... top marks for your observations regarding Grimly's and my Buzzjack contributions. We obviously make far more of an impression than you do - as to be frank, I didn't even realise you existed until you chirruped up and entered this debate. So...a belated hello.... B)
December 29, 200717 yr top marks for your observations regarding Grimly's and my Buzzjack contributions. We obviously make far more of an impression than you do Shame you haven't picked up on the fact that everyone who has noticed you has also noticed how desperate you are to make some sort of impact; so much so that you'll stoop to personal insults (and if we're going to go there, you certainly aren't the Jennifer Aniston or Brad Pitt of Buzzjack) and attempting to start an argument with anybody and everybody. Thing is though, nobody actually cares. Your previous, lacklustre attempt at wit in comparing me with the most manly Tracey Thorn passed through my mind without so much as any kind of emotion stirring within me, so yeah...better try harder next time.
December 30, 200717 yr Jesus Christ honestly. Can we try and get back on topic and stop with the bloody arguments that have relevance to the topic itself? Russ stop baiting and Jark stop reacting and generally everyone stop arguing. JamesP you're additions to this thread have hardly been anything more than inflammatory. I mean seriously grow-up all of you especially you Russ, you're older and should know better. Keep the personal insults out... Anymore arguing and it's deleted posts ahoy [/fierceness] Pheww I can stop using clichéd language now (sm)
December 31, 200717 yr Firstly, Dido is not working with Timbaland. And I love her music, whereas Annie's lately is bloody awful, so based on the state of their releases today, I'll go with Dido. ^_^ Erm it's reported that she IS working with Timbaland actually along with Madonna, Linkin Park, Cher, Kanye West, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Akon and Mary J Blige... How true it is though I don't know.
December 31, 200717 yr Author Firstly, Dido is not working with Timbaland. ^_^ well thank funk for that, even tho she must be one of the very few not to have been in collabs with that boringly overexposed popmeister and his dancing pop gnomes Nelly and Justin (not Cornell haynes and Justin Osuji obv   ) well i suppose if he gets over subscribed you could always hire Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti and then slow the record down   OK, Annie Lennox's last great album was 15 years ago - but to even consider voting for Dido (with the silent 'L') over Lennox displays a colossal ineptitude when it comes to the understandings of great popular music and culture. Colossal ineptitude? What's that? (that thing with silent L is rude too!) well i suppose someone had to make a Steely Dan reference, and no this does not mean fm radio friendly jazz-pop-rock  Your list of favourite acts - am I seriously meant to be impressed? Any liost that insludes such musical deadweights as Bryan Adams makes me shiver with disgust, not open-mouthed with admiration I can assure you. And there's never any excuse for bilge like Bryan Adams. Not ever. well Bryan Adams is mostly does the photography thing so is kinda irrevant isnt he excepting on some kinda school disco cheesy pop thing. (btw was his b&w topless photos of P!nk supposed to be judged on some kinda artistic merit or just used for lesbian porn   ) Erm it's reported that she IS working with Timbaland actually along with Madonna, Linkin Park, Cher, Kanye West, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Akon and Mary J Blige... How true it is though I don't know. OMG!!! I hope not thats all we need a Dido and Tim M record in the top ten for the next 62 weeks, yawn yawn yawn well Münzing and Anzilotti will still be doing much  and Pete Waterman he used to speeding records up and down at Stiff. , he'll be cheap these days too  Annie as No More I Love You's is amazing  No More I Love You's* has to be one of the worst songs ever recorded, with those creepy spoken voices parts. vile beyond belief, totp2 gets switched to the hits when that gets on (stay by shakespears sister much better, can understand why that was a big hit) *this is refing to Annie Lennox's versh only - the original versh by Joseph Hughes and David Freeman is supposed to be good indeed, and people who know the song say it is one of the best songs recorded but i dont know it so i cannot say and cannot be bother to find the speakers to get it off youtube  tbh http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lover_Speaks

How true it is though I don't know. GAWD, seems like everyone and their dog wants to work with Timbaland tbh... Dunno why, he's rather over-rated if we'r being honest.... -_- He may have been on the cutting edge when he started, but whoring himself out to every two-bit w/anker who's in need of a career "jump start" after the proverbial battery has gone flat has somewhat devalued his art as a producer if you ask me.... It's like "will this do".... Same thing happened with William Orbit, Andy Wetherall and others, "flavour of the month" syndrome innit....?

January 1, 200817 yr (menswe@r - gay dad- darkness) Mate, I would argue that these three awful bands should never have been "built up" in the first fukkin' place....
