Posted December 26, 200717 yr From MadonnaTribe After a very quiet Xmas day for Madonna news, UK tabloid The Sun has published a new rumour on the pages of their newly directed Bizarre column by Gordon Smart. The newspaper reports of Madonna planning to beat Elvis Presley's record for the most UK #1 Hit Singles by re-releasing all of her singles next year as digital downlads. The Sun reports that the massive re-release would coincide with the Queen of Pop's 50th birthday in August, in a time that they call "a Madgefest" marked with a massive gig in New York to mark the milestone. This is the second time a rumour about 2008 being a year of Madonna re-issues is reported, the first being a commentary by James Mastersonat www.dotmusic.com, who mentioned a possible reissue programme involving Madonna's back catalogue next year.
December 26, 200717 yr But her whole back catalogue's on iTunes anyway? So was Elvis Presley's & Michael Jackson's ....
December 26, 200717 yr WOW :o tbh I'm not really a fan of such a aass of re-releases. I hated also Elvis's re-releases. But I'm still excited to see all the Madonna singles in the UK charts
December 26, 200717 yr So was Elvis Presley's & Michael Jackson's .... DId you even bother to read the original post, if so you would have seen v. clearly the line "re-releasing all of her singles next year as digital downlads."
December 26, 200717 yr i don't like this.. seems like a cheap way to get money.. when they say re-release is it just the same songs?
December 30, 200717 yr I cant see them doing that well to be honest. Most of her all singles were re-released in the mid 1990s and I bought them then. Majority of people will have her old songs anyway through the albums or previous single releases.
