Posted December 27, 200717 yr A psychiatrist has warned that Britney Spears could end up committing suicide. Addiction expert Marty Brenner believes the singer is "disconnected from life" and may not survive until next Christmas. Spears' family are growing increasingly concerned after she invited a photographer to spend the night at her hotel in Beverly Hills last weekend. Reports also claimed that she made repeated toilet stops and yelled at onlookers at gas stations on the way to the venue. Brenner told the New York Post: "She’s losing it now, and she’s going to eventually lose it altogether if she doesn’t get the help she needs. She’s exhibiting bipolar signs and she’s clearly fighting depression." He added: "Britney also doesn't listen to anybody. Her mum is out of the picture, her kids are gone and everyone surrounding her is enabling her world of illusion." Brenner claimed that Spears' erratic behaviour is a reaction to the news that her 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn is pregnant, saying: "Britney now needs to cry out for even more attention. She's really going for it... No one stops to pee that many times. She has a major problem." DIGITALSPY
December 27, 200717 yr Oh....the kind of 'expert' who's never even spoken to the girl. That IS what she needs.
December 27, 200717 yr :o And i thought that my news from dr Patel when he told me i wont live to see next years new years was bad  :drama:
December 27, 200717 yr The mags say this all the time. They said she could die before her birthday...obviously, judging by photos and videos, she didn't.
December 28, 200717 yr But is it really? To be honest.. I think we can tell she's not herself. I think she does need help, and she's needed it for a while.
December 28, 200717 yr But is it really? To be honest.. I think we can tell she's not herself. I think she does need help, and she's needed it for a while. But isn't that a bit different to saying that it's PROBABLE someone will kill themselves in the next year?! It's fine to sit there and say "Oh Britney's crazy", but it's SO out of order for us and this "doctor" to speculate about whether someone will do something as drastic as suicide when we've never even met them. This is idle speculation and gossip based on the pictures we see in gossip rags, nothing more.
December 29, 200717 yr Britney has to realize that she needs outside help to better herself and get herself back to the way she was before K-Fed. But, she is no where near the point of commiting suicide, she may be acting like a teenager (but she has gotten ALOT better) but how does that imply suicide? Things have to get worse before they get better, and she is alot better then before the shaving fiasco...which is when I think she was alot more depressed. She is finding herself and nobody can do that over night, especially in her situation.
December 29, 200717 yr But is it really? To be honest.. I think we can tell she's not herself. I think she does need help, and she's needed it for a while. WOW! A Britney fan without his head stuck in the sand NOT expecting the usual enabler line 'SHE WILL GET BETTER WITOUT A DOUBT!' as opposed to a Professional who actually DOES have a CLUE about mental illness stating the relative INCREASED CHANCE of SUICIDE from observed (rather than soley media written reported) behaviour eg VT of her hitting car incident. A psychologist is not like a MD that needs the physical presence of (or the results of physical tests on ) the patient to make an acceptable diagnosis.Psychology only needs behaviours (eg drug abuse = a secondry symptom from the patient trying to manage the primary syptoms of the mental illness itself but actually negative at best delays chance of recovery in the long run) to make a diagnosis so the patient doesn't need to be present to match symptoms to an illness - eg. her observed behaviour ( as oposed to something that has no cross referenced support - purely ficticous media story) such as shaving all her hair off make the general consensus she has Manic depression (Bipolar -opposite EXTREME mood swings) rather than STR8 depression - AND of course suicide is a possibility for someone who has gone through such a LONG TERM personality and behaviour change AND HAS A FAMILLY HISTORY OF POST-NATAL DEPRESION/SUICIDE (maternal grandparent i think? never got better, suffered for years untill actual suicide) - you would be a deluded idiot to suggest her likely risk is NOT much greater than it used to be - MENTAL illness still has a higher degree of unpredictability/uncertainty more so than physical illnesses in general eg. direct link to emotional environmental events - their isn't a smooth recovery curve rather relapses and remissions without being taught the knowledge and skills to manage the condition and reduce the chance going round in endless circles of acutely bad mental health . As seen as i regularly meet psychologists as a patient its easy to get their views and views of their peers on related media events eg the McCanns are generally accepted to be diagnosed as Narcistic Sociopaths(without ever speaking to them or accessing any reports on their psychology) which explains how they managed to be involved in the Portuguese police's belief that they covered up of the accidental death of their own daughter yet remained so free from any displays of guilt. Of course i don't know what sources this physciatrist is using for his diagnosis and although it matches with the general consensus of Psychologists who have a a view on Brits mental state this particular bloke *may* be using his views primarily as a way to promote his own name. So Gary why you at least, UNLIKE EVERY OTHER FANATIC here, consider the possibility of the suggestions of this article to some degree, if something so serious did happen to her you should at least(besides the grief etc) have a guilt free conscience knowing you were not one of the countless ENABLERS sending out the message her behaviour is NORMAL + ACCEPTABLE because they're selfishly more concerned about loosing their star by her leaving the music biz to concentrate getting her health back with years of therapy + life restructure ( the worst fanatics are now saying they LOVE her new behaviour; illegally damaging others people's property, being a Mom who doesn't care enough about her kids to attend hearings (or take drugs tests on time because she was "asleep" ), not only stealing property but flaunting the evidence etc). Of course Brit has to want the Help in the first place to know its there + why, rather than being told what to do BUT if everyone including these fanatics around her tells her her behaviour is fine or worse BETTER than before what incentive does she have to seek help? (Oh i forgot there's nothing wrong with her so why does she need help, anyway? :manson: )
December 29, 200717 yr I totally agree with the psychologist. My mother has manic depression, has had it since I was young. So I know certain signs. I think Brit should get a psychologist. And get medicated. My mom has a chemical imbalance, which actually didn't really start to show until she had my sister. So that could be why Brit hasn't showed signs until she had her sons. Plus she had them so close together also. I'd love to see this girl get better.
December 29, 200717 yr I'm fed up of britney fan's just thinking she will get better without any proper help :/
December 29, 200717 yr I'm fed up of britney fan's just thinking she will get better without any proper help :/ Anyone who thinks that needs to really take another look at the situation. She needs to go to a pschyatrist atleast 5x a week. But no one can help her if she won't allow them. :(
December 30, 200717 yr I'm fed up of britney fan's just thinking she will get better without any proper help :/ Obviously not. <_< But for this doctor to come out of nowhere, just for publicity, and say she's on the verge of suicide is extreme. There's people out there who don't show these "signs" and end up killing themselves. I'm fed up with these psychologists and psychiatrists who read a couple of books written by other psychologists and psychiatrists and suddenly know what's going on inside everyone's heads. Yes she needs help, but it obviously doesn't help that someone comes from nowhere and broadcasts to the world that you're going to commit suicide.
December 30, 200717 yr I'm fed up of britney fan's just thinking she will get better without any proper help :/ I don't think anyone here does think that - I can only speak for myself, but to me whilst it's blatantly obvious she needs someone, the one thing she does not need is people commenting on her situation with no context. The thing I'm fed up of is people discussing what's best for her and what she will do, when actually we know NOTHING about her compared to what we think we do, any of us. This guy might be an 'acciction expert', but I don't believe he knows anything more about Britney's situation and life than anyone else, and therefore is in no more of a position to offer and advice or warnings than us.

EXACTLY. Couldn't have said it better myself. It's her life, let her try and figure it out in her own way.
December 31, 200717 yr The ONLY way she will get better is if all these mofo's *cough*paps*cough cough* will f*** out of her life. ok she does need professional help. i think everyone knows that but enough with the rumours!!! Not just with her specifically but with every single artist. i mean come on!!! No wonder people say the entire world is buggered. We pay more attention to rumors that are complete and utter $h!t made up by little $h!tters. than paying attention to things that actually matter. WOW she likes to go out and have a great time. who doesnt? just cos she is this mega-bucks superstar doesnt mean that she cant get any bit of fun other than recording new songs for this materialistic public. The fact that she is a mum still shouldnt change the fact that she shouldnt be allowed to have fun. I mean come on! My mum, she's 43, and yet she still likes to go to party's. She might not get drunk but she will have a few sips. One last thing. Leave the girl alone with this "provocative dressing" $h!t! she is 25 ffs! let the girl live before she has died. Ive seen 50 y.o.'s walking around in a mini-skirt. now THEY should know better. the girl is practically at the beginning of her life! Leave her the damn alone. If anything, unless this "phsyc" isnt helping her professionally, then he shouldnt be making up $h!t about her just to make a couple of extra $$$ Edited December 31, 200717 yr by Joao Filipe
January 1, 200817 yr These "reports" are pure $h!te. How the hell can do you die from paparazzi overload? Aside from car accidents or similar. She smokes, fine, but she doesn't seem to me like much of an alcoholic. Especially compared to some of the people who live near me.
January 2, 200817 yr A lot of it is based on how the public sees how she acts in front of the media. I don't necessarily think she needs professional help but I think she could really use the help of the important people around her especially her family.
