It was a spanish report sent out to the spanish media a few days ago (to Spanish Radio/TV etc.). So if it's all true and Sony are right (as it's from the label itself), hopefully an album release on the 9th December. :o

Seriously? :o considering people were estimating the next album not to be out for like another 4 years, this is a shock :o I guess shakira isn't ready to settle down in to married life just yet... she'd be stupid to go away, out of the limelight now considering, she has become more commercial and with a few new good singles behind her, she could be huge.

I don't like the sound of that at all to be honest :lol: It's the type of music that's a big hit for her, but I really don't think it adds to her credibility, pluss rock Shakira always pwns :P

hmm shakira back with anew single already doesn't she normally wait like 4 or 5 years for another album?? why is she rushing it like this?? i hope its good and doesn't flop like illegal did which was unfair.

^ It was only the last album there was a huge gap for really, the others weren't *That* long and we did get albums inbetween the long wait such as grandes exitos, live and off the record etc.

I'd like the new album to be half mainstream that can do well and half *proper* shakira for all of those fans that only like her releasing the type of music they see fit... but in my opinion, artists have to change... and if you think about it shakira already has, many times.

yeah i agree i want some serious music from her to show adiferent side from her like

"underneath you clothes" and "The One" showed.I that people seem to only see shakira as the belly dancing?botty dancing chick and the danc she does with her chest.

^ yes i agree i want serious stuff and some mainstream stuff, it's needed if she want's to remain as an international artist.

Not necesserily though. She could always market herself as a Tori Amos style artist so she can remain with her rock sound but still be quirky. It has to be remembered sales aren't anything. I'd rather her album sell 100 copies and be as good as DELL than it sell 10 million and be like LS.

 

Of course, diversity is good, just not selling out ~
