Jon Bon Jovi happy without chart success

London, Dec 31 - Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is so content making new albums and performing that he says he doesn't need chart success.

Jon admits that his band Bon Jovi will never be as popular as they were in the 80s but they are not too concerned as long as they get to make music.

Contactmusic.com quoted him as saying: 'It's not about having to prove anything any more. I think we feel that less and less with each album - we know what we have achieved.'

He also said that it was important to come up with new material which explains why the band had a country feel to their latest album 'Lost Highway'. It was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.

'It's important we experiment. Without experimentation there wouldn't be growth, and you risk becoming something of a nostalgia act, trying to repeat past successes,' he added.

It would be great to see them have chart success again.....but with thousands of fans everywhere they are a success in plenty of other ways....

There are enough dedicated fans who will keep buying their music for years to come.....Until they decide to throw the towel in and i for one dont think they are ready just yet.....

I hope not anyway :P
