Wow, Minogue's anticipated return to her dance-friendly sound after experimentation with the glam pop of Two Hearts has already debuted in the UK top 40, on downloads and airplay. The single is also charting in telco top 20s here as Australian fans download it to mobile phones despite most having the track from her X album. "As soon as we (said) that was going to be the next single, everyone started downloading it even though they already have it on the album," a spokeswoman said. "It won't be officially released until February 15 but radio here start playing it from Monday." Minogue, who whirls into Sydney on Monday to promote the single release, will shoot a new video for the track in Los Angeles where she will also be honoured during G'Day USA week. While she has announced her European tour last month, Australian fans are unlikely to see Minogue back in Australia until the end of the year. Minogue has been enjoying her annual Christmas break with her family in Melbourne, dining at the exclusive Nobu restaurant and checking out her good mate Nick Cave's retrospective exhibition. She will be honoured, with film director Phillip Noyce, at the annual G'Day USA gala dinner in Los Angeles on January 19, with her idol Olivia Newton-John scheduled to perform. --- Yay!
