Posted May 20, 200619 yr for those interested in the fabric of the universe and a possible deeper understanding of life... youll find on this site plenty of jiucy info including 3 hour long docs on the string theory... fascinating stuff, but if you are anything like me, youll have to watch them several times before anything sinks in! lol http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/
May 20, 200619 yr So what's you take on this http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5752 and does it all fit in?
May 20, 200619 yr Author very interesting, firstly.. electrons are far smaller then marbles and are smaller then atoms of water therefore id expect an interfearance pattern... but i cant explain why when observed the electron behaved differently... that opens up a whole new can of worms!
May 24, 200619 yr Rob are you sure you aren't a teacher rather than someone that cuts the grass?
May 24, 200619 yr Author Rob are you sure you aren't a teacher rather than someone that cuts the grass? lol... no, just someone who has plenty of time to think about things :)
February 13, 200718 yr lol... no, just someone who has plenty of time to think about things :) ...while he cuts grass :)
March 19, 200718 yr I watched a documentary about this once. I find it all very interesting but only just beginning to understand it. The stuff about there being different dimensions definitely strikes a cord with me. They say that may be how aliens exist, in another dimension and they've somehow found a way of getting through into ours. :o If you think about it too much it starts to get confusing though.
May 13, 200718 yr ...while he cuts grass :) Haha. This information is very interesting, but at the same time it is very depressing to think that there is nothing after this life.
May 15, 200718 yr Author , but at the same time it is very depressing to think that there is nothing after this life. but there might be! lol, the string theory does allow for supernatural events to be explained. im pretty certain that in the universe we know and can see/measure/quantify there is no scope for 'heaven' or a afterlife as theres apparently nowhere for it to exist. IF the string theory is anything like right, then there might be.
August 7, 200717 yr Author So maye there is a heaven in this theory? sorry, i missed this...lol.. yes, this theory does provide a place for a 'heaven' to exist as atm there is no place in the known universe for heaven. however, it is a theory so everything is pure conjecture, but it does give hope for those looking for scientific evidence for things paranormal. i think the main thing about the theory is that it opens the doors of perception, and expands the universe off the three dimensional ground floor making the universe a far bigger more complex place to live in ..... and infinately more interesting.
August 7, 200717 yr tonight there's a little something on BBC2 at 7:30PM Life in the Cosmos New series. Adam Hart-Davis is joined by planetary scientist Janet Sumner and astronomer Maggie Aderin-Pocock to examine how experts are trying to discover more about the solar system and whether humans are really alone in the universe think it's a 6 parter and could be a good little watch
