January 14, 200817 yr OMG This is amazing!!!!! :o :o :o I was just checking the nominations randomly, and WOW their name just caught my eye!!!! :o :o It's amazing to be nominated, ESPECIALLY when it's up against the like of Editors, Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs :wub: And just a bitchy comment, Girls Aloud are nominated for Best Group, Sugababes are not :P (haha only kidding) At least the ceremony is gonna be exciting this year, even though I don't get my hopes so high :P

Very pleasing. :D Same for me, the whole "British Group" and "International Group" is fuuuull of indie and rock bands, GA is the only pop band out of the two lists (well, and somewhat Take That too :lol:) I still can believe they made it into the list :wub: Have to make a new banner to support them :lol:
January 14, 200817 yr Didnt i tell everyone they'd get a nod this year?! Im so happy for them and i maybe being a bit picky but i think the negativity in the thread name isnt very nice! - it should be 'The Brits : Girls Aloud nominated for an award', not 'one award'.
January 14, 200817 yr Girls Aloud just got a literal nod of approval on the ITV2 launch show, one of The Editors said that they just felt they were making up the numbers in the best group catagory as they were up against Girls Aloud, Take That and Kaiser Chiefs to which when Girls Aloud were mentioned Kelly Osbourne nodded in approval and no, none of them were being sarcastic - i looked out for that!
