When iconic songs like this are so far down these lists and rot like Alice Cooper, Midnight Oil, Roxette. Cher and Metallica are all clogging up the upper echelons of these charts - it really all does seem utterly pointless. The simple fact is - there's too manY AOR Americans voting in these comps..... I mean -0 ROXETTE?!? Midnight Oil? Please..... embarrassing.

Russt: I share your pain, it seems the dance tracks rarely get the position they deserve on these ROTY threads (It's the American votes that don't help, considering dance music has had zero exposure commercially). And Roxette are truly dire, not even in an 'ironic' way. Anyway!...

So going through to the 1980s Record of The Decade Play-offs is:

1st U2 - All I Want Is You 33

So this moving ballad from Rattle & Hum qualifies for the Dublin based Rock combo.

DAMN!!  I forgot to vote in this one and for once my vote would have (possibly) made the difference. I would have given my 5 points for Paula Abdul's Cold Hearted and zero for the dreadful U2 song and that would have ended in a tie for the two songs and Paula Abdul classic (at least IMO) going through.
