As Liverpool draw their 4th league game in a row and fail to climb above 6th in the league!

They are SO FAR behind it's unbelievable!

Most definitely. In terms of fund they're just still up there, but in terms of development they're nowhere near there.

Liverpool will always do well in the cups but just not in the league if the structure is the same, hate to say this, but regardless of who's in charge of the clu at the end of the season Rafa has to go.

Saying that, Liverpool aren't a bad team and they've been very good against Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd this season, but they just can't kill teams off once they get ahead, yet AGAIN there's an example of this tonight. As long as Rafa plays Kuyt or Voronin in the team then Liverpool are a team going nowhere purely because they're not good enough, same with Aurellio, Riise, Sissoko, Arbeloa, Kewell etc. Very big squad with some very good players, but also some poor mediocre players who'd struggle to get into another Premier League team.

I totally agree.

I really thought Rafa would move Liverpool on to the next level.

While he has put the big three to shame in Europe over the last three seasons (although Liverpool face Mission Impossible to get past the best side in Europe on current form Inter Milan this season), he clearly has failed to fully grasp English football; whilst more crucially Liverpool have gone downhill since his Spanish number 2 left the club.

While it is getting tiring seeing Kuyt start ahead of the more effective Peter Crouch, and all this rotation, rotation, rotation of the starting eleven.

It is about time one of the Big Four had a British manager, so if Martin O'Neill is interested....

I think Benitez is going to find it very hard to save his skin now :( shame for what he's achieved in Europe. He just can't seem to get it into his head the fans want to see the league title brought back to Merseyside rather than focussing on some European sideshow all the time.

It's like he spends 10 hours planning tactics for Europe in comparison to 10 minutes for the Premier League sometimes

they do :magic: Sir Alex Ferguson ;)

I just think he doesn't have the grip on the Premier League. Changing the team every week, does the team no good as some of the players have barely ever played together. When Liverpool first played Luton, Lucas and Alonso were playing together in a competitive match for the first time and you could see they had no understanding of each other at all, and because of this, Liverpool had no midfield.

Liverpool have the basis of a very good squad - if they get rid of a few of the squaddies and add a few more top class players [left back, left winger and another striker especially] they'll be able to compete with Chelsea, Man Utd & Arsenal again. Fact is Rafa just doesn't know what he's doing in the Premier League and the American owners aren't making it any better for him, I mean it can't be nice knowing win or lose you might potentially lose you job and as well as that, the whole world knows now, but still that's no excuse now because times are tough.

I actually think Liverpool would become a more effective side too if Gerrard wasn't captain anymore, and Carragher was...

they do :magic: Sir Alex Ferguson ;)

He has been there so long, I forgot about his nationality. :P

Besides is he human?

I just cannot believe how Kewell and Kuyt manage to start so many games ahead of Crouch and Babel. They're rubbish and wouldn't get into any of the teams around them, let alone Arsenal or Chelsea...

And I'm sure I saw on Football Focus on saturday that he bought FOURTEEN(!!!) players in in the summer. Who the f*** were they?!

Torres, Benayoun, Lucas, Voronin, Babel and 9 others. Are they all 16 or something?!

He bought loads of 17/18 years old etc. - all very well and good, but there's no guarantee that they'll become good enough for the Premier League, and he's not Arsene Wenger with spotting young talent, or, his scouting team at least. It's all good and well winning the FA Youth Cup every season, bt it's the Premier League the fans want.

An interesting stat;

Liverpool have the same amount of points at home as Sunderland and Bolton, and have less than Reading.

10 draws already

Benitez is turning into last seasons Fulham and O'Neill

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

I was just gonna bump this up. Absolute crisis at Liverpool atm, and not just on the pitch! On just about every Liverpool forum and other ones it's been said that when Lucas came on Gerrard refused to move to the right wing, and at the end of the game Rafa came on and said "that's it" to Gerrard. From his post-match interview he didn't seem like a guy with much confidence in him. Either way I think Rafa's going (to AC Milan too) and then Mourinho will come in.

You're lucky that your four main competitors picked up a point.

I really hope Spurs win the League Cup as I'd LOVE Liverpool to fail so much and not even be in Europe. Though after dispatching Barnsley they'll probably get Bristol Rovers and West Brom to make the final of the FA Cup. <_<

We've won more games at home than they have though ^_^

And things have gone a bit Ali Dia-shaped at Liverpool. Things will pick up for them eventually, although I can't see it happening this season. Benitez will either run out of patience and leave or get sacked in the summer

You've got more points now after last night anyway!

I just hate the arrogance of some of their fans. I remember when they beat Derby 6-0 so many were saying the title's theirs. They kept saying on 606 that they're still in fourth place because they've a game in hand. That being against the team that have just beaten them. Their squad is filled with such average players. I think only Torres and Gerrard would stand a chance of getting into any of the top 3. Maybe Reina for Almunia, other than that, inferior all over.

I think they'll do well in the cups and I still think they'll get 4th. Dreading the games against Man Utd and Arsenal though...

But if Masch isn't signed on a permanent deal by tomorrow night then imo he's not gonna stay at Liverpool as he'll go to AC Milan with Rafa. I wouldn't be suprised at all if Rafa walks/gets sacked tomorrow.

Man Utd yet again score another overrated goal we'll be having shoved in our faces for the rest of the frickin' season.

They're not even that good, all season they've looked basic and only scored goals on lucky breaks or crosses if all other scoring methods fail, I havn't seen one goal from them that's been created with skill so far this season.
