Adele is the essence of everything that is right about amy winehouse, "chasing pavements" having a greater and greater play count on my ipod everytime i look. Basshunter, however, is expereiencing the same phenomenon souljaboy did in the states (let's face it) ultimately it will be ADELE who will beat out. ALSO, HOW IN THE WORLD IS LUPE FIASCO TOP 5? HAS he done MAJOR promotion? he only managed TOP 70 in billboard! Good for him though, cuz that song is on fire

January 23, 200818 yr I still think Adele will be #1 by the end of the week. Quite possibly, but even if she is, the margin is going to be a lot closer than most people expected. Also, her album is out next week, and that will certainly take sales away from her single.

January 23, 200818 yr I still think Adele will reach #1. Just not this week. It seems the days of a quick impact on release week and then fizzling out are over now. Just look at how Basshunter, Britney and even Nickelback(!) all increased last week. :o

January 23, 200818 yr Even in the unlikely event of Adele not reaching number 1 this week, she has nothing to be disappointed about. Chasing Pavements is selling very well and I think is destined to be in the chart for a long time. Her album must surely go straight in at number 1 when released. I have heard a couple of her other songs and they are brilliant as well.
