Posted May 21, 200619 yr I WILL TAKE KIDS FROM KERRY Ex-Westlife star plans court fight for custody By Jenny Mcquaile SINGER Kerry Katona faces a court battle after her estranged husband, ex-Westlife star Brian McFadden, threatened to "drop bombshells" to get custody of their children. Brian, 26, has decided to go to court over Molly, four, and three-year-old Lilly Sue. He says he is taking legal action after receiving a letter from Kerry, 25, which he claims makes it difficult for him to see his children. Brian said: "I've been driven to this. If I have to drop bombshells about Kerry in court to get my kids then I am prepared to do that. I'm doing it for the girls. I know they want to be with me. I will tell the truth and let the judge decide." The girls are currently living with Kerry and her 34-year-old fianc? Mark Croft in her five-bedroom home in Warrington, Cheshire. Brian and his pop star girlfriend Delta Goodrem, 21, recently announced they were selling their New York apartment to be closer to his children. But he claims Kerry's lawyers have been sending him letters for the past two months which make it increasingly difficult for him to see the children. A close pal said: "The last letter two days ago, said his visits had been limited to once a month and if he wanted to see the kids he had to come to Warrington himself to pick them up. "It has made it virtually impossible for him to have any part in his daughters' lives, which was the final straw." Kerry has furiously denied claims from former friends that she has taken cocaine and neglected her children. Yesterday the former Atomic Kitten star insisted she was a devoted mother. Kerry said: "Brian should not expect to see the girls at a drop of a hat wherever and whenever it suits him. Neither do I think he should expect for me to let Molly and Lilly Sue go off with total strangers for very long journeys in order for them to see their dad. "The last thing I would want is for Brian not to see the children. I lost out myself on not having a father around when I grew up and would naturally hate for my daughters to experience what I went through." On topic, well it is the Mirror so it is reasonable to have doubts about the accuracy of this story. It is hard on the children whenever parents break up at the best of times, but when your parents have been in show business and the inevitable media nosing around, well it must be even harder. :arrr:
May 21, 200619 yr I find it hard to see why Brian needs custody, it's not like he would be around to take care of the children all the time if he and Delta are off everywhere with their music. I can understand him wanting to see them though. I also don't think Lea Goodrem would be too happy at the thought of her 21 year old daughter becoming a mother to two children and I hate to say it but if it all went through it would be a waste of time if Brian and Delta down the line split up. Which let's face it is likely thought I don't doubt their relationship. The story is probably a whole load of bananas anyway...and guys Delta is currently in the uk just not for promo...
