Maybe there are legal reasons for Delta not releasing anything in the UK. Think about it logically, her last single hit number 3. Why wouldn't SonyBMG want to put out more singles. The Brian excuse is getting old now and I'm thinking conspiracy.

I reckon the guy we should be blaming is Gary Barlow. Sony so was desperate to release Throw it Away[ a Gary Barlow composition] as a single they tried twice. Later A LittleToo Late[ another Gary Barlow co-write] was touted as a UK single and where did Delta turn up last week.....The same hotel in Wales as the Take That members.

There is definately something fishy here.

Then isn't the label more to blame rather than Gary?

Not if Sony cut a deal with True North promising them TWO singles from IE and because of circumstances beyond their control only got one[NMNI]. And remember Delta got out of her sick bed to make the video for that song.

Sony were desperate to release Throw It Away. They originally planned it as the follow up to LWY and later tried to get Delta to film a video when she was in LA for the Grammys. There were even rumours that she was to make a surprise appearence at the Brit awards performing TIA.

When Sony released it as a free download they must have thought they'd forfilled their side of the bargain. BUT, Maybe GB wasn't happy and made demands holding up future releases.

It's only a theory and probably completely untrue but the reality makes even LESS sense.

The legal reasons are apparently something to do with a label change...

As for the rest of this topic, I'm lost.

Really interesting, that's the first I've heard of that. It seems odd then that Predictable was released, especially when they made a performance vid of TIA at the same time

Yeah, but Predictable was Australia only . This Gary Barlow business only concerns Sony's UK division. Also check out the B-sides on all the Aussie post Born To Try singles and work out the behind the scenes deals that went on. Remember a B-side pays the same royalty as an A-side.

Can you refresh my memory a bit please :D
