NEVER one to bite her tongue, national treasure Dame Edna Everage has sharpened her claws on celebrity trashbags Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears.

 

While Everage, aka Barry Humphries, has herself been a party possum over the years, the Moonee Ponds matron has advised Winehouse to "have her tattoos removed and get rid of that spooky-looking husband".

 

But she wouldn't even draw breath on Spears, saying, "I think advice is wasted on a non-entity like Britney".

 

Meanwhile, Humphries wasn't going to let pesky appendix surgery get in the way of seeing one of his favourite artists this week.

 

The comedy legend saw US singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright in Sydney on Tuesday night, abandoning his sick bed where doctors have ordered him to rest for up to six months after complications from the surgery late last year.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Britney is nothing more than a generic vessel that is regularly filled with below-average pop music.

To be honest I think it would be good if she got her tattoos removed and divorced Blake, but that's just because I don't like tattoos and Blake seems to be a bad influence on her. It's not really for anyone to comment on really.
